Ansel Adams was born into a wealthy family in California. He became interested in photography through using a telescope with his father for amateur astronomy. He developed influential techniques like the Zone System and helped raise photography to an art form. A student chose to pay homage to Adams for a school project because Adams' nature photography style was similar to their own work. The project included samples of the student's black and white nature photos.
