Markim Hall, home of the Annan Institute for Global Citizenship, is Macalester’s first LEED Platinum Certified building and one of the first campus buildings in the nation to earn the U.S Green Building Council’s highest-level certification for energy efficiency and environmental design. Markim Hall, home of the Annan Institute for Global Citizenship, is Macalester’s first

WORLDS FIRST CARBON NEGATIVE FURNITURE DESIGNS
Celebrating 50 years!
Stanley Shetka and Collateral Healing, Inc., has created the world’s first carbon
negative furniture 50 years ago. His patented equipment and technology can utilize all
paper, plant, plastic, wood, glass, solid waste and minerals into state-of-the-art high-end
products. The entire process creates products that will last for hundreds of years into
the future. Within the heart of the Collateral Healing Epoch System is a patented
sculpture system that sequesters carbon, creates energy, filters air, purifies water, and
continuously enriches the soil with good carbons. The Collateral Healing Epoch, is
ready for production and will require continued R&D as installations expand into world
communities. Stanly Shetka created signage, windowsills and counter-tops made from
100% paper and plant byproducts.
