Take Charge of Your Life workshop report.Bette Blance
The document summarizes a 6-hour workshop called "Take Charge of Your Life" that was held in Nelson, New Zealand for Resource Teachers Learning and Behaviour. 13 participants completed the full workshop, which covered topics like shifting mental models, understanding basic needs and wants, creating positive relationships, learning about perception, and taking control of one's mental health. Participants found the workshop helpful based on feedback, reporting increased feelings of control over their lives and belief that Choice Theory could help future interactions. Recommendations included pursuing more training opportunities or a follow-up session later.
The document contains contact sheets with shots that may have been used in a digital package or poster. Some of the shots were taken when first choosing a song as the perfect location was wanted to go with the narrative. The contact sheets include various potential photos.
The combination of the main music video product and ancillary texts is effective. The video supports indie rock stereotypes through its use of props, narrative, settings and mise en scene. The first ancillary reflects the genre's uniqueness through manipulated hue and saturation of images. The second ancillary partially sets the scene by showing the main character traveling in the rain, helping to create a gloomy mood common in the genre. Together the products work well by having the ancillary texts enhance and provide context for the main video.
For our Storybranding graduate class, we were tasked with choosing a product to rebrand and create a whole integrated campaign for. Our team chose to rebrand IAMS Naturals dog food. We did research on the product, brand, target market, and competition, and we created mock-ups of a television commercial, radio ad, billboard, and social media campaign.
