Maria Sharapova is a Russian tennis legend who was born in 1987 in Siberia but her parents left shortly before her birth due to the Chernobyl nuclear accident. She began winning junior tennis tournaments at age 13 and went on to win multiple grand slam titles, including Wimbledon in 2004, the Australian Open in 2008, and the French Open in 2012. Sharapova attributes her success to her determination and competitiveness, working hard to achieve her aims.
