Different regions have developed distinct styles of play that suit their local players, such as the physical British style, cunning Italian style, and possession-focused Latin style.

Basket ball team of saudiarabia.Saudi Arabia, where sports events for women are banned, is considering sending a female athlete for the first time ever to the Olympics this year, following criticism from abroad. The issue of women in sport remains extremely sensitive in the ultraconservative Muslim state, where women are not even allowed to drive cars and the authorities shut down private gyms for females in 2009 and 2010. On Saturday, Al-Sharq newspaper said that equestrian jumping contestant DalmaMalhas, 18, is likely to be Saudi Arabia’s only female athlete at this summer’s Olympics in London. Malhas won a bronze medal at the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympics without having been nominated by her country, following an invitation from the International Olympic Committee (OIC).

Makkah-Hada Road in evening
One of the oldest gates of the country is the Makkah Gate and the history about origin of this gate can be found in Jeddah. BabAshlam and the Sham Gate are the two other names of Makkah Gate. Hajj pilgrims can enter through this gate. Makkah Gate is considered as the most prominent among all. You must visit this Makkah Gate during your trip to Jeddah. This Gate was equipped by limestone coral walls during 100 AD whereas during 16thcentury around 6 watchtowers and gates were also built which was constructed in the defensive of Portuguese attack. Amongst these 6 gates, on the eastern side it was Bab Makkah and on the west side it was Bab Al Magharibah and a gate which was facing in south was gate Bab Sharif. And the other gates which were facing north side were Bab Al Bunt, BabSharaf and Bab Al Madinah. Among those 3 gates which was reconstructed one of them was the Makkah Gate located in Jeddah. Many pilgrims visit this city on frequent basis and also get exit from this city as Jeddah is considered as the Gateway to Makkah. The Makkah Gate is one which provides the getaway to this huge crowd which comes on daily basis. The architectural structure is the worth going through the gate to perform Hajj. Construction of Makkah Gate gives reflection to the Turkish influence at Jeddah. At the evening this Makkah Gate is fully lightened up which gives an awesome look to the place.Very close proximity of these Holy cities Makkah and Medina, Jeddah is located there. There is increase in number of pilgrims to this place on regular basis which visit here to perform Hajj. The Makkah Gate in Jeddah gives entry to these pilgrims and also takes care of their needs and facilities. Because of the beauty Makkah Gate located in Jeddah has made it a secure place.
I had been waiting for this gate from the moment we got into the car heading towards Jeddah, after our Umrah three months ago. This gate signifies the boundary of the haram area of the city of Makkah, where non-Muslims are prohibited to enter. But long before this gate arrives, people coming into Makkah from Jeddah have already undergone the necessary checking of passports and other documents. The structure is that of a huge book, representing the Qur’an, sitting on a rehal, or book stand. And it looks even more beautiful at night …The gate at night (Googled image)Our driver, for this Makkah to Jeddah trip, was a local and didn’t speak English at all. I was actually surprised since back home in the U.A.E., I never saw a local drive a taxi. But then, this car wasn’t a regular, registered taxi; this was his own private vehicle. However, buses take a long time, as per our Madinah to Makkah experience, we had a plane to catch in four hours, and besides, everywhere we looked, people were taking these private taxis. Therefore Masood, his friend and this local guy negotiated the fare in sign language, and we hopped in.Before we entered the highway, our driver stopped briefly at a gas station. He asked if it was okay with us if he made ablution and prayed 2 rakats first. It wasn’t time for the regular prayer, so we assumed he prayed nafl. We waited for him in the car.Our adventure began when he returned, fixed his head gear, smiled, and started the engine. He didn’t drive the car; he flew it! And when one is flying, one doesn’t feel a need for indicator lamps. So he just changed lanes as he wished, abruptly. And since driving can get so boring, and such a waste of precious time as well, he decided to multi-task. He made/attended phone calls, sent text messages, cleaned his ears with cotton buds, searched for the tissue box, and counted his money – all the time maintaining a speed of 120 km/hour.“We should’ve prayed a few rakats ourselves,” I told Masood. We reached Jeddah airport an hour earlier than we were supposed to, in one piece. Alhumdulillah.
FTR NV is pleased to be a part of the US 245 million expansion project of the King AbdulAziz International Airport (KAIA) – Hajj Terminal. The General Aviation of Civil Authority (GACA) expressed their objectives for this project to include the development of the KAIA to a hub airport and increase terminal capacity from 13 million to 21 million passengers. It was also intended to become the gateway to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina. The project included the construction of two new terminals, renovation of the main terminal, and the provision of 25 additional air bridges, three connector buildings that will serve both the international and domestic passengers, and an extensive upgrade of landside and airside infrastructure facilities. The Hajj Terminal is an estimated 5-million-square-feet, making it the world’s second largest air terminal next to Hong Kong International Airport’s terminal. It sits on over 100ac (405,000m²) of ground area, and it is known for its tent-shaped roof. The Terminal 3 roof is made-up of a white colored PTFE-coated fiberglass membrane (one of the largest structures of its type in the world). This terminal has a mosque and it can accommodate up to 80,000 travelers at the same time. The project progressed well with the full support of the government authorities. FTR NV became an integral part of the team, delivering our management consultancy services, during the Interim Phase. Construction activities for Phase 1 were completed in September 2008. Construction activities for Phase 2 were completed in August 2010.
Transportation facilities related to the Hajj or Umrah are the main services available. Mecca has only the small Mecca East Airport with no airline service, so most pilgrims access the city through the Hajj terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport or the Jeddah Seaport, both of which are in Jeddah.A high speed inter-city rail line (Haramain High Speed Rail Project also known as the "Western Railway"), is under construction in Saudi Arabia. It will link along 444 kilometres (276 mi), the Muslim holy cities of Medina and Mecca via King Abdullah Economic City,Rabigh, Jeddah and King Abdulaziz International Airport. It will be built by a business consortium from Spain.[82]The city lacks any public transportation options for residents and visitors alike, both during and outside of the pilgrimage season. The main transportation options available for travel within and around the city are either personal vehicles or private taxis. The 18 km (11 mi) Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro opened in November 2010.[83] A total of 5 metro lines are planned to carry pilgrims to the religious sites.[84]

Maybe the most interesting construction in Mina is the Jamarat Bridge. It is built to facilitate the movement of worshippers arriving from various directions. The bridge has 24 access routes and 11 gates linking it to the mountains from all directions. Currently there is 5 levels of the bridge, which can be extended to 12 in the future. The dimensions of the bridge are 100 meter in width and 800 length. The facilities of Mina are not only counting the bridge and tents, also a number of both pedestrian and vehicular tunnels have been drilled and escalators set up in order to distribute the vast amount of people.
