Our organization is getting stronger. The strength of CECOSDA is visible through our continually increasing environmental communication activities and the ever growing number of Eco-favorable citizens that we have been able to build. The strength of CECOSDA can also be seen in the quality and dedication of our staff as well as in the solidity of our financial and administrative standing, thanks to our philosophy of transparency and traceability. Our focus in 2015 was promoting Eco-favorable lifestyle, especially in the areas of Water resources, protection of the Environment, and Food security. Projects like Image-Message-for Sustainable development in Cameroon (IMD) were a great success as it enabled CECOSDA to reach out to more than 20 000 youths through social networks and educative talks. Another major achievement by CECOSDA was the setting up of Green Alert Network (GAN) a network of community radios and journalists who will be working to make sure that local population receive relevant environmental education and that key stakeholders receive strategic environmental information from the villages in order to plan better for environmental response. Our participation in the Regional Forum on Nature Conservation in Bamako was a great success, and we are now looking forward to the World Forum on Nature Conservation to be held in Hawai in 2016. As the world embarks on the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) I would like, to express our gratitude to all our partners and advisors for their constant support. We wish you an Eco-favorable year 2016.

Our mission is to grow startups from secondary schools in rural and small towns. We have assisted 21 startups in Sote Hub and supported 8 of them with seed funding.
We also scaled Sote Hub and Sote ICT to Kwale County.

This document provides information about the Wealth Creation Project organized by Paroma Enterprises Limited. UpWater - Quick Overview
UpWater is developing an innovative point-of-use water treatment device called SODIS X, along with an educational program and sustainable distribution model. SODIS X uses sunlight to quickly disinfect water, and field trials in rural Thailand found it was effective and that over half of participants continued using it. UpWater combines this product with social programs to raise awareness of water quality issues and promote behavior change, and a market-based approach to local production and sales in order to provide sustainable access to safe drinking water.

The 1GRITO project aims to increase financial inclusion in rural Mozambican communities through the development of a centralized data and support system. The system will collect and store social, economic, and agricultural information to assist various organizations involved in rural development. It seeks to connect users like farmers, microfinance institutions, donors, and the public through a web and mobile platform. The project is led by MICROMZ and partners with several established organizations in the country. It requests $945,652 in funding to cover costs over its first 18 months of operations targeting improved access to financial services, education, and market information for rural families.

Paroma Community Empowerment for Enterprise Development report 2015
Paroma Enterprises Limited Uganda incorporated as a limited company by share later adopted several nonprofit projects under Paroma CEED/Community Empowerment for Enterprise Development and for the last 5 years have been promoting practical entrepreneurship skills to emerging, potential and existing entrepreneurs whereby through their services over 50,000 people youth inclusive have benefited with their services. But according to our research amongst urban youth, jobs, unemployment levels and school drop outs of young people between the age of 15-32 years; over 70% of graduates do not have jobs, 80% of unskilled youth are unemployed but willing to start up something if they can get practical entrepreneurship skills and at most 2 out of 5 business started by urban unskilled youth did not survive the first 5 years in operation due to lack of proper business plans, entrepreneurship training before they were started.
The youth is a critical segment in the society especially in urban setting and yet they are not central in social economic agenda. They form 70% of the Uganda populace and majority of who are out of school and unemployed. Hence the need for Rural-Urban Wealth Creation project that will address Entrepreneurship Development, Customer care, Entrepreneurial Competencies, Entrepreneurship process, Legal Issues in Business, Formulating Business Plan, industrial skills, agricultural skills, resources utilization, modern & general trade, international trade, branding, sales & marketing.
We therefore decided to carry out the Wealth Creation Project through Agriculture, Value addition, Innovation and Export promotion 2015-2020 project.

The road to recovery: bridging the digital divide
As Autumn sets in and many of us are now living with the impact of COVID-19, local lockdowns and social distancing as an ongoing reality, what does this mean for the UK and healthy ageing?
Digital inclusion will play an increasing critical role in the healthy ageing agenda, so what have we learnt about the challenges older people and organisations now face, is there a deepening the digital divide, and how can we work differently and collaboratively to ensure more older people can maximise the benefits of being part of a digital society to meet their personal needs?

Innovation Africa Summary
Over 1.3 billion people in sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to electricity, meaning no light for medical care or refrigeration for vaccines, no energy for schools or IT education, and no power to pump clean water. Innovation: Africa (iA) addresses this issue using solar energy to power schools, clinics, orphanages and water pumps in rural communities, impacting over 700,000 people across 7 countries. iA fosters community investment by requiring solar committees and cell phone charging businesses, whose profits maintain the solar systems. iA also monitors projects remotely using cell data to diagnose issues preventing service disruptions. This model has gained iA recognition as a leader in solar energy solutions for poverty.

The project aims to promote practical entrepreneurship training and establish job creation through entrepreneurial skills development. It will cover all districts of Uganda from 2015-2016. The project seeks to equip participants with skills to start and sustain businesses, promote entrepreneurship, and link participants to financing. Training topics will include introduction to MSMEs, practical entrepreneurship, import/export, resources identification, and more. The budget for each forum is 26,170,000 Ugandan shillings.
UpWater - Quick Overview
UpWater is developing an innovative point-of-use water treatment device called SODIS X, along with an educational program and sustainable distribution model. SODIS X uses sunlight to quickly disinfect water, and field trials in rural Thailand found it was effective and that over half of participants continued using it. UpWater combines this product with social programs to raise awareness of water quality issues and promote behavior change, and a market-based approach to local production and sales in order to provide sustainable access to safe drinking water.

The 1GRITO project aims to increase financial inclusion in rural Mozambican communities through the development of a centralized data and support system. The system will collect and store social, economic, and agricultural information to assist various organizations involved in rural development. It seeks to connect users like farmers, microfinance institutions, donors, and the public through a web and mobile platform. The project is led by MICROMZ and partners with several established organizations in the country. It requests $945,652 in funding to cover costs over its first 18 months of operations targeting improved access to financial services, education, and market information for rural families.

Paroma Community Empowerment for Enterprise Development report 2015
Paroma Enterprises Limited Uganda incorporated as a limited company by share later adopted several nonprofit projects under Paroma CEED/Community Empowerment for Enterprise Development and for the last 5 years have been promoting practical entrepreneurship skills to emerging, potential and existing entrepreneurs whereby through their services over 50,000 people youth inclusive have benefited with their services. But according to our research amongst urban youth, jobs, unemployment levels and school drop outs of young people between the age of 15-32 years; over 70% of graduates do not have jobs, 80% of unskilled youth are unemployed but willing to start up something if they can get practical entrepreneurship skills and at most 2 out of 5 business started by urban unskilled youth did not survive the first 5 years in operation due to lack of proper business plans, entrepreneurship training before they were started.
The youth is a critical segment in the society especially in urban setting and yet they are not central in social economic agenda. They form 70% of the Uganda populace and majority of who are out of school and unemployed. Hence the need for Rural-Urban Wealth Creation project that will address Entrepreneurship Development, Customer care, Entrepreneurial Competencies, Entrepreneurship process, Legal Issues in Business, Formulating Business Plan, industrial skills, agricultural skills, resources utilization, modern & general trade, international trade, branding, sales & marketing.
We therefore decided to carry out the Wealth Creation Project through Agriculture, Value addition, Innovation and Export promotion 2015-2020 project.

The road to recovery: bridging the digital divide
As Autumn sets in and many of us are now living with the impact of COVID-19, local lockdowns and social distancing as an ongoing reality, what does this mean for the UK and healthy ageing?
Digital inclusion will play an increasing critical role in the healthy ageing agenda, so what have we learnt about the challenges older people and organisations now face, is there a deepening the digital divide, and how can we work differently and collaboratively to ensure more older people can maximise the benefits of being part of a digital society to meet their personal needs?

Innovation Africa Summary
Over 1.3 billion people in sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to electricity, meaning no light for medical care or refrigeration for vaccines, no energy for schools or IT education, and no power to pump clean water. Innovation: Africa (iA) addresses this issue using solar energy to power schools, clinics, orphanages and water pumps in rural communities, impacting over 700,000 people across 7 countries. iA fosters community investment by requiring solar committees and cell phone charging businesses, whose profits maintain the solar systems. iA also monitors projects remotely using cell data to diagnose issues preventing service disruptions. This model has gained iA recognition as a leader in solar energy solutions for poverty.

This document provides an overview of digital marketing in Uganda presented by John B. Babirukamu of the Digital Marketing Centre. It includes statistics on internet and social media usage in Uganda. There are breakdowns of the demographics and behaviors of Ugandan audiences on various social media platforms. The top 10 social media profiles in Uganda are mentioned. The document also discusses what makes digital media disruptive and provides examples of disruptive brands worldwide and in Uganda. It introduces the Japanese concept of "ikigai" to find one's passion and purpose.

2. The project's mission is to provide opportunities for independence and employment to poor people in Malawi by developing products that can be self-produced using local materials and skills.
