Uniform Players Contract Agreement
THIS CONTRACT is between ________XANDER BOGAERTS______, Hereinafter “Player,”
and_______THE BOSTON RED SOX________, a “Club,” operating under the name of the
________Major League Baseball League_______. In consideration of the promises made
by each to the other, Player and Club agree as follows.
1. TERM. This contract covers ______FIVE______ Baseball Season(s), and will begin
on the date of execution which is the Fifth of March in the year of 2015 and
will terminate at the end of the 2020 season, unless extended, terminated, or
renewed as specified elsewhere in this contract.
2. ABILITY/SERVICE AGREEMENT. This section states that player _____ XANDER
BOGAERTS ______ is being signed to play baseball for the Boston Red Sox and
hereby agrees that he has exceptional and unique skills/abilities in this
certain sport.
3. INTREST/RULES AGREEMENT. This section confirms that player _____
XANDER BOGAERTS _____does not have stock or financial interest in any of the
Major League Clubs. He agrees to the rules and regulations of the league, of
which includes maintaining the loyalty and obligations of a professional
baseball athlete.
4. COMPENSATION. This section includes a breakdown of _____XANDER
BOGAERTS_____compensation and payment schedule for the 5-year
agreement. For performance of Player’s services and all other promises of
Player, Club will pay Player a yearly salary as follows:
$ 500,000 for the 1st Season
$ 500,000 for the 2nd Season
$ 750,000 for the 3rd Season
$ 750,000 for the 4th Season
$ 500,000 for the 5th Season
The salary paid to said player over the five-year agreement is a total of 3.0
million dollars. By signing this contract, Bogaerts agrees that any charges
that the player neglects will be withheld from his paycheck to compensate
the club.
5. SUBSTANCE/SUPPLEMENTS AGREEMENT. This section states that
_____XANDER BOGAERTS_____has been informed about the league
substance/supplements policy and agrees to the terms set by the league. By
signing this contract, said player agrees to not participate in any of the illegal
substances, and agrees to random drug screenings by the league or club.

2. 6. SERVICE/OTHER SPORT AGREEMENT. This section states that _____XANDER
BOGAERTS_____will not play with/for any other professional sports
organization, while under contract. This includes any activities that could
potentially harm or injure said player.
7. SKILL, PERFORMANCE AND CONDUCT. By signing this contract, player
understands that he/she is competing with other members of the team for
his/her position. Player also agrees to keep a professional attitude and
stature while he remains with this club.
8. INJURY. This contract specifically addresses if said player gets injured for
his/her services, player will receive both medical and hospital care during
the term of the contract as well as financial compensation.
9. TERMINATION. This section states that either party can terminate this
contract at any time. If this contract is terminated by the club, player will
promptly undergo and examination by the club physician.
