There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents along Atlantic beaches in South Florida. Waterspouts are also possible across Atlantic waters with converging cloud lines or showers. Patchy fog and smoke may occur near the Mud Lake fire complex. The high rip current risk will slowly decrease along East Coast beaches into the weekend as easterly winds subside. Thunderstorms will return this weekend, most numerous in the interior and along the West Coast, with the primary threats being cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds.
