12. BISA focuses on developing Salamanca (Madrid area) startup ecosystem,
providing web entrepreneurs with direct exposure to investors and strategic
partners. In the last years, BISA has supported hundreds of startups and run
an incubator and organized tens of events attended by thousands,
generating 408 new skilled jobs in the field of web and mobile technology.
More than €5.2M was raised for the development of web and mobiles
startups.
BISA is located at the Science Park of the University of Salamanca
(PCUS), which is a private, non--‐profit foundation based in Spain,
and was created in 2005 to boost the economy of the environment
through the promotion of entrepreneurship and support the
creation of startups, mainly those with a technological outlook.
