  DESCRIPTION:
  This is the short version of the famous and stunning Inca Trail, for those who have less time
  available, but do not want to miss out on this unique trek. We start at km 104 and walk all day
  until approximately 06:00 pm when we arrive to Aguas Calientes, where we will be staying in a
  hotel. The next day, very early, we will take the first bus up to Machupicchu to take part in our
  guided tour.

  ITINERARY:
  Day 1: Cusco - Wiñaywayna - Machupicchu
  Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Cusco train
  station. We will be departing in the direction of Km 104, where we will begin trekking. Shortly
  after beginning, we will make a stop at the archaeological complex of Chachabamba (which is
  located at 2250 masl). This is where they obtained the agricultural products which were later
  taken to Machupicchu. Continuing the hike, we will eventually arrive to Wiñaywayna about 2
  hours and half later. On the road we will enjoy some beautiful views of the Urubamba River and
  will even have an opportunity to appreciate different kinds of exotic orchids indigenous of the
  semi-tropical forest. In Wiñaywayna we stop and take some time to visit the important
  archaeological remains. After lunch, we continue the walk towards Machupicchu, which
  temporarily only be able to appreciate from a distance from Inti Punku (Sun Gate). We continue
  by bus down to Aguas Calientes where we stay in a hotel for the night.

  Maximum Altitude: 2.650 m (8.692 ft)

  Day 2: Machupicchu - Cusco
  After an early breakfast, we will board the bus to Machupicchu (2400 masl), very early in the
  morning so that we can enjoy the sunrise in this beautiful place before the arrival of other
  tourists from Cusco. We will partake in a guided tour of the site for approximately 3 hours
  followed by some free time for lunch. In the afternoon we board a bus to descend back down to
  the town of Aguas Calientes where we will take the train back to Cusco. Transfer to hotel.
