FirstDay Inca Jungle:CUSCO- SANTA SANTA TERESA Mary: 55km BIKING
The impressive IncaJungle tourstartsveryearly,between5:30to 6:00 a.m.doingthe picking
up of passengersatthe hotel andthenstart the tour towardsthe sacredvalleyof the Incas
locatedinUrubamba,withthe main objective the village of Ollantaytambo,the arrival will be
around8:30 am Here passengerscantake breakfastandprovisionof water,fruit,snacksor
othertheyneedforthe firststage of the tour. Afterhavingbreakfastwe drive foranhourand
a half to reach the highestlevelof ourtour calledthe AbraMalaga whichis4,330 metersEl
Abra Malaga isour startingpoint,before asafetybriefingtopassengers,whomustwearsafety
equipment(helmets,vests)beginthe descent(DownHill) withbicyclestowardsthe jungle will
be heldlow,tomake the route we will see picturesquelandscapesandnatural attractionsas
the altitudinal we gothrough.Afterabout2 hoursof downhillbikingroute,ledbythe teamof
private transportagency(all firstaidkitincase of emergency),arrive atthe townof
Huamanmarca,at approximately1:30 pm, here we will have adeliciouslunch buffetasthe

2. Afterperformingthe firststage of the route,we headtothe town of Santa Maria where we
will beginthe secondstage of the firstday'sboatingor rafting,passengerswill be transported
to the camp, where we will talksafetyandproperuse of raftingequipment,andthenenterthe
riverwiththe guide ineachboat.
The nextsectionhasa level of difficultIII - III+ it to acorde to the state of the river(medium
risk) withfastand some turbulence butall carriedcontrolledandsupervisedbyexperiencedin
the field(certificatesinextremesports) withknowledgeof the guidesgeography,climateand
environment.
In the case of riskdue to rains andchange inthe degree of difficultyinthe rivertoIV or more,
passengersafetyactivitywill be canceledandpassengerswillbe refundedthe payment

Travelerswhohave notbookedthe raftingwill be transportedtothe townof SantaRosa
where theywalkabout45 minutestoourecolodge "The Shack"inthe communityof

At the endof rafting,endingthe afternoon,the wholegroupwill meetourecolodge where we

hikingortrekkingtowardsSantaTeresa,duringthe firsttwohour walkwill be onthe rise,with
several stopstobringlearnmore about the floraand faunaof the area,one of the mostsalient
stopsis a part of the Inca Trail was formerlyMachuPicchuconnectionwiththe cityof
Vilcabamba,here the guide conductastopto give a brief historical informationof the Incas,
where we can alsogetthe bestpictures especiallyHuancarccasaCanyon.
Aftera shortbreak we will continue todescendtothe village of Quellomayowhere we stopfor
lunchafterthe deliciouslunchwe willhave time forashortbreak inthe hammocks,continue
withthe last02 hourshike tothe hot springsof Cocalmayowhere we will righttoenjoythis
special place,andthenfinishthe daythe wayto final destinationthe townof SantaTeresa
thereinspendoursecondnighttime.

enjoylunchInthiswaywe will see aseriesof waterfallsandalsohave the opportunitytosee
the majesticmountainsMachuPicchuand Haynapicchuwell asthe Intihuatanaorsundial that
we see at the top of the andsome otherInca constructionsof the citadel of Machu Picchu,
afterthe last 2 hoursof walkingwill be nexttothe railwayline tothe townof AguasCalientes
