Both aligned to more left-wing oriented policies in world politics. They talked about what they consider “risks hanging over democracy” regarding the violent actions of Brazilian Spring protesters. Still, on political strategies, they talked about the problems generated by fake news. On Brazil-France relations, Lula invited Macron to visit Brazil and visit the shipyard in Itaguaí (RJ).
