A son or daughter's perspective of their father changes dramatically over time, from seeing their father as all-knowing when young, to viewing them as outdated and unreasonable during the teenage years, to later gaining appreciation for all the hardships and sacrifices their father endured to raise them as they become parents themselves.
This document outlines concerns with Congress's approach to health care and health insurance reform. It argues that Congress conflates health care costs with health insurance costs, when they should be addressed separately. The high cost of health care, not health insurance profits, drive rising insurance costs. A public option will not create competition to lower rates because insurance profits are already slim. To truly reform costs, Congress must address rising health care costs, not just insurance regulations. The letter urges Congress to be honest if its goal is a government-run system, and to tell citizens directly how their taxes will increase to pay for the uninsured.

The document discusses how telemedicine and the patient-centered medical home model can help integrate healthcare services and provide more accessible and cost-effective care for patients. It outlines how the use of electronic health records and online access allows for coordinated care between providers, easier patient monitoring, and remote consultations. Adopting interoperable electronic health records that meet national standards is key to fully realizing the benefits of the medical home approach and integrating various healthcare services.

Digital Media in UAE's Public Sector: Current Trends and Missing OpporunitiesIbrahim Elbadawi
This document discusses current trends and opportunities around digital media usage in the United Arab Emirates' public sector. Survey results show that 62% of government organizations officially use social media to interact with citizens about services, and over half of Emiratis and expats support using social media in service design and delivery. However, opportunities around crowdsourcing, sharing information, and offering citizen-oriented services through better social media integration are still being missed. The document advocates for social media to be treated as a strategic philosophy rather than just a tool, and calls for actionable social media strategies and business/cultural changes to fully leverage opportunities.
The document is a poem about a mother's unconditional love and sacrifice for her child from birth through adulthood. It describes how the mother was always there to support the child through various milestones like standing, birthdays, starting school, sickness, and independence. It encourages the reader to appreciate how much the mother gave up for her child and to show love and spend time with her before it's too late.
This document discusses how governments must adapt to the connected digital world. It notes that power is shifting from governments to individuals through social media and technology. Governments' traditional vertical hierarchies are being replaced by horizontal social media communications. Citizens now expect to participate directly in government through crowdsourcing and public consultation online. The document argues that governments must embrace social media and digital tools to remain relevant to citizens and create public value in new ways. It provides examples of how some governments are opening data and crowdsourcing inspections to engage citizens through smart government approaches.

A 50-year-old post-menopausal woman presented with lower abdominal and pelvic pain for 6 months. Examination found an enlarged, firm uterus. She underwent a total hysterectomy, which found a 5-6 cm submucosal lipoma arising from the posterior wall of the uterus, confirmed by histopathology. Uterine lipomas are rare but present similar to leiomyomas. While clinically thought to be a fibroid, the postoperative finding was actually a lipoma.

It applies to factories and establishments employing 20 or more people. The act provides for sickness benefit, maternity benefit, dependents' benefit and medical benefit funded by contributions from employers and employees. Employers must register with the ESI Corporation and pay contributions within 21 days of the wages falling due.
