Referred for VHBOT on June 18, 2013 following Surgery June 10 to remove a large mass located between skin and abdominal wall, left flank area. Became inflamed from the prior trauma and suggestive of secondary infection. This was considered life threatening and as a possible necrotizing soft tissue infection. The evidence supported the use of systemic Hyperbaric oxygen treatments. The indications for the use of Veterinary Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments were the development of hypoxic tissue resulting in necrosis and infection. VHBOT resulted in reperfusion of ischemic areas, saturation of oxygen decreased leukocyte adherence, reducing systemic toxicity. VHBO limited the spread and progression of infection, and as an adjunct treatment enhanced the therapeutic effects of the Veterinary chosen antibiotics. Providing affordable Hyperbaric Medicine is what we are all about at ALL CREATURES HYPERBARIC CARE. this case took 12 treatments
