Students at a school collected plastic bottle caps from the community which they then sorted by color and used to create circular murals in the style of pointillism in the library inspired by the artist Georges Seurat. With the help of teachers, parents, and the school's kitchen staff, the students glued the caps in patterns on the walls to beautify the library entrance and bring a circus theme to the space, thanking Ranger Rick magazine for the original idea.

All of the books and shelves had to be packed into boxes, which were then stored in the hallway as the old carpet was removed. New carpet was installed and the bookshelves and books were returned to the library. The project involved inventorying items, packing many boxes both from donations and purchases, and unpacking everything once complete.
The annual report summarizes the activities and accomplishments of the Learning Center at CCSU for the 2010-2011 school year. Key highlights include hosting over 225 students and 45 staff members weekly, circulating about 15,000 materials annually, and partnering with classroom teachers to support the curriculum. Goals for next year include collaborating more with teachers, continuing the emergent reader program, and better communicating the library's mission.
RCOM is planning to partner with global technology companies like Motorola and HP for its 3G mobile infrastructure and innovation lab in India. The lab will provide 3G network and technology services to other operators. RCOM also plans to generate revenue by allowing other service providers to use the lab's services.
The central bank has hinted it may slow the pace of raising interest rates given moderation in food prices and the need to balance inflation control and economic growth. Rates have been raised four times this year to curb high inflation but growth is projected above 8.5% for the fiscal year.
