Itze-Leib Schmuilowsky was born on February 20, 1919, and died in 1974. He was a teacher at Yale University and held positions at MIT and the University of Pennsylvania, also serving as a visiting professor at Princeton. His work focused on simple Platonic forms in brick and concrete architecture, with notable contributions such as the Kimbell Art Museum and the Yale Center for British Art.
