The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. How do we do it? • We maintain a physical presence at Open Days & are constantly in & out of the LITSU offices to keep our society ‘fresh’ in the minds of the SU Sabbats & receptionist. • LITSU supports our virtual presence via their website • http://www.litsu.ie/?page_id=188 • LITSU also updates their Facebook page with our events
- 6. Facebook We began with a Facebook ‘Friends’ page Litisout Soc Over time we realised that the ‘like’ page format was more appropriate for our needs. We have retained our Friends page & keep both pages updated. We plan to create a ‘closed group’ for students who aren’t ‘out’
- 7. Twitter • We joined Twitter this year in order to provide another access point for members & other interested parties. • It’s linked to our Facebook account which minimises the ‘work’ required in tweeting.
