1. To whom it may concern:
I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Christopher Rawlings for over 12 years now. During the
years of our acquaintance I have watched Chris grow from a teenager, to adulthood, and now
as a leader in his professional industry and community alike.
At the age of 17 Chris joined the U.S Marine Corps, without hesitation. During his tenure he
was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, deployed multiple times to active combat zones around
the world, serving with pride and distinction, and led from the front. After serving five honorable
years and fulfilling his contract with the Marines, Chris left to continue his pursuit of a higher
education. During this time, Chris was recruited by a multitude of companies seeking a natural
leader and the skills that he had demonstrated at a very young age.
Chris has always displayed attributes of wanting to be an entrepreneur, showing the ambition
and drive for owning his own business and wanting to become one of our future community
leaders. I believe Chris will be able to provide invaluable services that will not only will flourish,
but also benefit any community with new employment opportunities. Mr. Rawlings’ leadership
has shown in many facets of life. He has been a mentor and teacher to others using the skills
instilled in him not only from the Marines Corps, but also his parents. His ability to take charge
of any situation and carry out the mission is second to none. In his current employment, Chris’
leadership skills have been recognized by his peers and many senior to him in age and tenure. I
cannot think of any situation or consequence that would negatively reflect on Mr. Christopher
Rawlings. He is an extremely well balanced person with an abundance of positive qualities and
an undying thirst for knowledge. He is one of a few that can be relied upon in any situation and
would be an excellent candidate for The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with
Disabilities. Please call me at 540-662-5752 with any questions or concerns regarding this
recommendation.
