Lopburi is a central province of Thailand located between several other provinces. It has a total land area of 6,199.8 square kilometers and was previously known as Lavo. In the 17th century, King Narai the Great made Lopburi the second capital of Thailand. The province has a population of over 750,000 people and its economy relies on products like marl salted eggs, brass, fabric, and mushrooms. Popular tourist attractions include Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat temple, Phra Narai Ratchaniwet palace ruins, and various historical prang towers and dams.
