Lone Star Conference Indoor Track and Field athletes have recorded 10 NCAA Division II Automatic qualifying marks (six

MEN’S TRACK
Daniel Gyasi, West Texas A&M University, SR, Kumasi, Ghana, Kumasi Academy
Gyasi ran a 47.36 in the men's 400m Dash on Saturday afternoon at the Texas Tech Open inside of the Sports
Performance Center in Lubbock as the senior completed the event with the third fastest time in Division II so far this
indoor season

Abraham Seaneke, West Texas A&M University, JR, Kokrobite, Ghana, Ebenezer Senior
Seaneke moved up to second in the nation in the Triple Jump on Saturday afternoon in Lubbock inside of the Sports
Performance Center with a mark of 50‐10 (15.49m).
WOMEN’S TRACK
Nele Heinrich, West Texas A&M University, SO, Guben, Germany, Sportschute Friedrich
Heinrich continued to impress for the Lady Buffs as the sophomore set a new school record in the 400m dash with an
altitude converted time of 55.68. She finished sixth in the event for the seventh fastest time in the country and top LSC
mark so far this indoor season.
WOMEN’S FIELD
Rellie Kaputin, West Texas A&M University, SR, East New Britain, Papua New Guinea, Kabagap Academy
Kaputin registered a mark of 19‐9.75 (6.04m) in her second jump of the afternoon to finish second in the Long Jump and
claim the third best mark in DII Track & Field this season, the Lady Buffs now own two of the top three marks in DII with
Fatim's Affessi leading the nation.

Deandre Wade, Angelo State University, opened his season with a NCAA Division II provisional time in the 200‐
meters and as a member of the 4x400‐meter relay. The junior clocked an altitude converted 21.73 and is now top 30
nationally. He later helped the relay to a provisional qualifying time of 3:15.32 after altitude conversion.
Jacob Nava, Lubbock Christian University, posted Lubbock Christian University's top performance at the Texas Tech
Open over the weekend. The sophomore led five Lubbock Christian competitors and rang up a 4:22.48‐pace in the mile.
Nava's performance marked a college‐best for the Abilene, Texas native and placed him fourth overall in the 38‐runner
field.
Johen DeLeon, Tarleton State University, competed in the 5000‐meter run at the Texas Tech Open hosted by Texas
Tech. DeLeon won the race in a time of 15:36.50, his performance at the meet highlighted Tarleton's day at the track.
Marcus Parker, Eastern New Mexico University, set a team record in the 60m dash at last week's Texas Tech Open.
His time of 6.76 earned a second‐place finish and stands as the sixth‐best time in the NCAA Division II. Parker also took
sixth place in the 200m dash at the event with a time of 21.46. He was the lone Division II runner in the event's top
seven finishers.
Rascellis Williams, Tarleton State University, competed in the high jump for the Texans this past weekend at the
Texas Tech Open. The junior from mineral wells finished fourth‐place in his event with a season best leap of 6' 7.5"
(2.02m).
Kenneth Lloyd, Eastern New Mexico University, had another standout week for the Greyhounds. The senior took
second in the high jump with a leap of 6‐7.5.
Danee Bustos, Eastern New Mexico University, played a key role in ENMU's success at the Texas Tech Open last
week. She set a team record in the 400m run and was part of the Greyhounds' 4x400 relay team setting another school
record. She completed the 400m with a time of 57.90 and was the third leg of the relay team, which finished fifth at
3:59.21.
Gwyneth Garcia, Tarleton State University, competed in the 5000‐meter run at the Texas Tech Open this past
weekend. The freshman form Pflugerville ran a time of 19:55.01 and placed fourth in her race.
Kami Norton, Angelo State University, clocked the 10th fastest time in Division II in the 60‐meter hurdles. The senior
ran an altitude converted 8.65 to place sixth in a field that featured six Division I competitors. The time is a NCAA
Division II provisional mark and a seasonal best.

3. Poro Gahekave, Lubbock Christian University, competed for Lubbock Christian University at the Texas Tech Open
over the weekend. Her performance in the One‐Mile event was was her second Top‐10 finish of the season and enough
for a fourth place individual finish in this week's 40‐woman field. Gahekave registered a 5:19.16 pace and fell just one‐
second shy of a season‐best performance in the mile event.
Kami Norton, Angelo State University, recorded the sixth best jump in Division II in the long jump at the Texas Tech
Open. The senior's NCAA Division II provisional mark measured 19'‐7" (5.97‐meters). The seasonal best jump was fourth
overall in the event.
Jasmine McQuirter, Tarleton State University, competed in the long jump for the TexAnns at the Texas Tech Open.
McQuirter jumped 18' 4.5" (5.60m) and finished 12th in their event.
Adilene Adame, Eastern New Mexico University, at last week's Texas Tech Open, took seventh in the weight throw
with team‐record a toss of 51‐0.25.

The Eastern New Mexico indoor track & field teams made an outstanding showing at last week's Texas Tech Open with
four team records and 23 top‐25 performances. Marcus Parker posted the sixth‐best time in the nation in the 60m dash
and performed well again in the 200m dash. Adilene Adame and Danee Bustos paced the women's team and set records
in the weight throw, 400m run and 4x400 relay. Next up for the Hounds is the New Mexico Invitational.

The Buffs and Lady Buffs continued to impress this past weekend at the MSSU Lion Open & Multi in Joplin, Missouri
along with the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock. Saturday's action saw WT set eight NCAA Provisional Marks along with a
new school record in the women's 400m Dash. The #16 Buffs and #3 Lady Buffs return to action this weekend as they
head to the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Adams State Invitational in Alamosa, Colorado
while also competing in the Third Annual Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas.
