This proposal outlines a locker rental system for the UCCS Campus Recreation facilities. It proposes designating some lockers in the existing and expanded buildings for semester-long rentals using resettable combination locks, while keeping others as daily rentals using keys. The objectives are to provide secure storage, reduce lost keys, and offer patrons an easy-to-use rental experience aligned with the recreation mission of supporting student development and healthy lifestyles.

3. Proposal Summary
This proposal was written to optimize the UCCS Campus Recreation’s current locker rental policy.The following
proposal includes lockersthatwill remain day rentals,and operate on the current key system. As well as those that
will beintended for semester, or yearly rental agreements. These lockers will operateon a padlock system.These
padlocks will allowtheclientrenting the locker the ability to safely secure their belongings without havingto bring
a key with them to every visit.They will begiven a combination for a designated lock at the beginningof their
rental agreement. At the end of the rental period, should they choosenot to renew their rental,the combination
will bechanged by the facilities staff.The current cardio and weights lockers will remain as day rental lockers,and
will operate on the current key system. The lockers located closestto the pool will befor facility staff use,and will
require them to register the locker with facilities management before use. Long term and day rental lockers will be
located in the locker rooms in both the current facility,and the expanded building.
Objectives
 Offer all patrons a welcomingexperience with an easy to use locker rental system.
 Reduce the number of lostkeys with better rental logs.
 Reduce the need for replacement keys by offering resettable combination locks for longterm rentals.
 Providesecure storage for student staff members.
 Establish an updated rental agreement that includes rental startdates,as well as rental expirati on dates.
 Provideall patrons,with longterm rentals,with a locker identification card,to providean informational
reference concerningtheir rental.
 Offer the best experience possibleto our patrons as laid outin the UCCS Campus Recreation Mission
