Viimaste uuringute kohaselt on Eesti üks ülekaalulisemate kodanikega riik Euroopas. Lisaks on leitud, et eestlased ei söö piisavalt juurvilju. Minu meelest on tudengitel niigi suure koormuse juures (arvestades, et paljud käivad ka tööl) vähe aega, et oma elukohas valmistada tervislikku ja mitmekesist toitu ning seda veel vähemalt kolm korda päevas. Sellepärast otsustasingi uurida, millised on minu üliõpilastest sõprade söömisharjumused.
Arvestades oma kogemusi üliõpilasena toon välja kaks hüpoteesi.
Et järgida ühtset stiili, kasutati enamasti ripploendiga küsimusi. Kahele vastusele oli võimalik ka pikem seletus anda.
Vastavalt usaldusnivoole on esialgne valim 45.
Vastuseid saadi kokku 42, mis tegi vea suuruse 6%-liseks. Vastused koguti 19 päevaga.
Andmeid kohendati ning parandati. Peale seda loodi erinevad lisaveerud, et teha eesmärgipäraseid analüüse. Analüüsimisel kasutati Microsoft Excel programmi ning kasutati erinevaid valemeid ning funktsioone, mida antud programm võimaldab.
Enamus vastajatest on naissoost.
Enamus vastajatest söövad siiski tervislikul viisil ehk 3 korda päevas. Leidub ka vastaja, kes sööb 7 korda päevas, kuid eeldatavasti arvestas ta sisse ka väiksemad söögikorrad, näiteks võileiva söömise vms.
Kõigest 22% vastajatest valib toitu tervislikkuse aspektist. See on mõistetav osakaal, kuna tegemist on tudengitega. Seetõttu on mõistetav ka see, et suurimat tähelepanu pannakse toidu hinnale.
Kui keskmiselt valmistatakse nädalas 5-6 korda ise süüa, siis tähendab, et ülejäänud toidukordadel kas süüakse väljas või süüakse valmistoitu. Minu üliõpilastest sõbrad teevad keskmiselt korra päevas ise süüa. Eeldatavasti valmistatakse süüa õhtuti, peale kooli, kuna hommikul pole toiduvalmistamiseks aega ning lõunal süüakse koolispakutavat toitu.
Enamasti hinnatakse ennast keskmiselt, nagu tavaline eestlane ikka. Pigem peetakse ennast tervislikuks toitujaks, kui ebatervislikuks.
