3. Prices? Generally, a single lip piercing can cost anywhere from $20 - $50. Some shops have discount days, and some have a 'double discount'- buy one get one half off. Some of the more unusual piercings may cost more... It is also very nice to tip the piercer, but you don't have to give them money. They always accept a really nice compliment about their work, homemade cookies, or something small if you are artistic.

5. Piercing minors policy If you are under 16, or in some places 18, you need a parent's consent. Some places will only do a few piercings for the younger teens. At most places, this seems to be the rule: up to 13-ear lobe 14-ear (other parts) 15-Lip, nose, eyebrow 16 to 18-belly button, other facial piercings, some surface piercings 18+-genitals, surface, dermals... It is ALWAYS best to call the shop ahead of time to find out what their minor policy is. I have seen shops that do lip piercings for anyone 14 and up, and some that don't do any except ear untill they're 16 (or 18, depending).
