1. LETTER OF REFERENCE
RE- THOMAS PR PRATT, KINGSTON UNIVERSITY, LONDON
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN. 18th October 2015
Hales Water Turbines Ltd has for many years a close association
with the Faculty of Engineering, Kingston University, London.
Several students from this university have been involved during the
testing of the patented Hales Turbine design, both on the River
Thames pontoon test sites at Richmond and Greenwich, also at the
special Water Flow Test and Demonstration Tank Centre in
Hastings, East Sussex.
HWT Ltd has also funded a student from Kingston University to
undertake his Master's Degree at UCL university , using the Hales
Turbine design as his subject matter.
Tom approached HWT ltd to use the Hastings Test Tank facility to
conduct detailed trials on a new form of horizontal axis turbine
design with a new and novel form of blade configuration.
Tom made great efforts to travel regularly to the Hasting test tank
site to develop a suitable prototype test rig for his turbine design,
this included coupling to HWT Ltd original test equipment to allow,
water flow speed, RPM and shaft torque reading to be taken.
Tom was always polite and attentive, asked sensible and often
details questions to advance his project. He will be an asset to any
project or company.
