Due to the fast growth of World Wide Web the online communication has increased. In recent times the communication focus has shifted to social networking. In order to enhance the text methods of communication such as tweets, blogs and chats, it is necessary to examine the emotion of user by studying the input text. Online reviews are posted by customers for the products and services on offer at a website portal. This has provided impetus to substantial growth of online purchasing making opinion analysis a vital factor for business development. To analyze such text and reviews sentiment analysis is used. Sentiment analysis is a sub domain of Natural Language Processing which acquires writer’s feelings about several products which are placed on the internet through various comments or posts. It is used to find the opinion or response of the user. Opinion may be positive, negative or neutral. In this paper a review on sentiment analysis is done and the challenges and issues involved in the process are discussed. The approaches to sentiment analysis using dictionaries such as SenticNet, SentiFul, SentiWordNet, and WordNet are studied. Dictionary-based approaches are efficient over a domain of study. Although a generalized dictionary like WordNet may be used, the accuracy of the classifier get affected due to issues like negation, synonyms, sarcasm, etc.

RE: Mr. Stan Shipley
Architect on the new Panorama High School,
Los Angeles School District
To whom it may concern,
I have had the pleasure of working directly with Mr. Stan Shipley on the new Panorama High
School for LAUSD within the past few years. The project was a significant project for LAUSD,
featuring 4 story classroom buildings, a true theater, 2 indoor Gyms on elevated decks,
science laboratories a competition field and swimming pool, full service kitchen, etc. etc. The
size of the campus was large enough to warrant a DWP substation onsite. On this project I
served as the Lead Owners Representative, in charge of managing the General Contractor,
the entire design team, and the inspection team.
This was an extremely complicated project, with a very intensive inspection effort. LAUSD is
known to have very intensive inspection processes, and I would argue this was the most
intensive and challenging inspection team I have seen in my career. I therefore leaned on and
heavily depended on Mr. Shipley and his team to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the
inspection team. Mr. Shipley’s team handled the issues and challenges with professionalism,
diligence, and clever solutions. I believe that Mr. Shipley gained the respect and trust of the
inspection department (as well of the rest of the project team), by his professional and diligent
actions. Our timing for resolving issues was very short on average due to his leadership.
I would strongly recommend Mr. Shipley as strong addition to any team requiring resolution of
complex issues with a deep understanding of code issues, design issues, as well as common
sense.
I welcome any inquires regarding Mr. Shipley’s talents, expertise, and team leadership.
Sincerely,
Los Angeles Regional Director
