This document discusses the importance of Christians fulfilling their role as soldiers in God's army by spreading the gospel message. It outlines the spiritual armor and weapons Christians need to engage in spiritual warfare against Satan, including truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Bible, and prayer. Christians are called to be witnesses of Christ from person to person, through their local church, and through large evangelism events. They must not only lead people to Christ but disciple new believers by teaching them all of God's commands. Developing new Christian leaders is also part of the battle plan.
Are you ready, willing, and able by douglas jordanall4yhwh
This document discusses being ready, willing, and able to serve God. It argues that to be ready, one must have faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and live according to God's will. To be willing, one must desire to please God in all things and give their life to following His will. And to be able, one's sufficiency comes from Jesus Christ, who strengthens believers to do God's work. The document encourages readers to let God have His way in their lives so that they can be truly ready, willing, and able servants.
This document discusses breaking curses and poverty through prophetic prayer and spiritual weapons. It begins by defining poverty and its different types. It then discusses how poverty can operate as a spirit through one's mind and attitudes, not just finances. Various scriptures are provided about God's provision and breaking free from lack. The document provides a prayer to break curses by bringing the authority of Jesus' cross and blood over any curses. It asks God to send angels to disarm all curses and black arts.
God is sending the “FRESH FIRE” of the new wave of His Spirit to earth to take hold in the Spiritual, Anointed Leaders that He has appointed for the End Time. Prophet Gregory Ellis End Time Healing Ministries International.
The Bible is very clear as to what our purpose in this life should be. Men in both the Old and New Testaments sought for and discovered life’s purpose. Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, according to scripture, discovered the futility of life when it is lived only for this world. He gives these concluding remarks in the book of Ecclesiastes: 13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil”. - Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.
The document discusses the importance and blessings of observing the Sabbath or Shabbat. It explains that God instituted the Sabbath as a day of rest after creating the world in six days. Keeping the Sabbath is one of the Ten Commandments. The document outlines traditional Jewish practices for welcoming the Sabbath, including lighting candles and saying blessings over wine and bread. It encourages taking time to rest and enjoy God's blessings on the Sabbath.
Foundation Stone #08: Healing by the Laying on of HandsRick Bruderick
Are you sick? Is your loved one sick? They can be healed. I've seen people with cancer healed. I've seen those whom the doctors declare to be dead rise to life. I've seen miraculous healing wherever people have faith to believe for it. God wants us healthy. Jesus paid the price.
Another foundation principle for Christians is the knowledge that Jesus heals. He took stripes on his back to pay for our healing. We who believe in the name of Jesus can lay our hands on the sick today, and they will recover.
The word of god as a foundation for church growthElvis Amenyitor
1. The early church faced a problem of neglecting widows in daily food distribution. The Twelve appointed seven men to oversee this ministry so they could focus on prayer and preaching.
2. As a result of this change, the word of God spread rapidly and the number of disciples and priests following Christ greatly increased.
3. Building the church requires using the spiritual gifts God has given each believer. Members should discover their gifts, serve others' needs, and use their gifts faithfully and prayerfully for God's glory. Working together in this way expands God's kingdom.

2013 Book of Mormon: Chapter 13 (Institute Lesson by hgellor)Leah Gellor
The document outlines three key doctrines and principles from the Book of Mormon:
1. In the last days, many people will be deceived by false doctrines.
2. The Book of Mormon joins the Bible in bearing witness that the Lord is God.
3. Obedience, repentance, and faith in Jesus Christ qualify us to become the Lord's covenant people.
Kingdom Principles Of Financial Increase by Dr. Nasir K. SiddikiKaturi Susmitha
God wants believers to prosper financially. It is God's will for His people to be prosperous on Earth as believers are in Heaven, where there is no poverty or lack. The Bible reveals that God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people. Believers must firmly grasp that prosperity is God's will by knowing and standing on relevant scriptures, and refusing to accept poverty, which does not align with God's plans for abundance and provision.
This document provides an outline and summary of 2 Peter 1:1-11 from a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on November 6, 2016. The summary includes:
1. In the first 4 verses, Peter explains that through knowing Christ, believers have everything needed for life and godliness, including escaping corruption and partaking in God's divine nature.
2. Verses 5-11 outline 7 qualities (faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, love) that believers must actively pursue to supplement their faith and experience spiritual growth.
3. Pursuing these qualities will lead to effectiveness, assurance of salvation, and a "rich welcome"
This document provides strategies for maintaining divine healing based on biblical principles. It begins by establishing that God intends for people to be healthy based on passages like Exodus 23:25. It then discusses four key points: 1) God's intention is healing, 2) Understanding man's spirit, soul, and body makeup, 3) Satan intends to steal healing, and 4) People have a choice to follow God or Satan in any situation. The document then lists 10 strategies for maintaining healing, such as keeping oneself in an atmosphere of faith and not dwelling on past sicknesses. Overall, the document aims to provide a biblical foundation for divine healing and practical steps to retain healing based on scripture.
This document contains a summary of 2 Timothy 3:16-4:4 and additional commentary. It makes three key points:
1. Scripture should speak to us by teaching, reproving, correcting, and training us so that we may be complete and equipped for God's work.
2. We should teach Scripture by preaching the word in and out of season, through reproving, rebuking, and exhorting with patience.
3. Spiritual decay occurs when people reject sound teaching and follow myths, craving teachers that suit their own desires rather than truth. They turn away from Scripture. We must let Scripture speak to and work through us.

As Christians, we need a spiritual toolbox packed with the proper tools to accomplish the eternal project that God has set before us as men. This is the underlying purpose of this Study Guide – to provide practical, useful information and insight into waging war against the powers of darkness that seem to bind us as men. The world, the flesh and the devil will be continuously defeated if we use the weapons of our warfare effectively. The Lord Jesus has provided all the tools we need. He has already secured our daily victory. The tools His Father gave Him to “fight off” the enemy are the same tools He has made available to us. But, it remains our responsibility to activate these weapons by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. -Dr. Stephen Phinney
The Holy Spirit plays a key role in the Christian life from beginning to end, working in salvation to bring repentance and regeneration, working in sanctification to make believers holy, and working in service to empower believers for ministry through prayer, prophecy, preaching and miracles. The document outlines the Spirit's work in these three areas of salvation, sanctification, and service according to scripture.
This is dealing with the text that says the Spirit will only contend with humans for 120 years until the flood, or that the life span of man will only be 120 years. Both views are here.
The document discusses Peter's second epistle and the importance of growing in knowledge. It emphasizes adding virtues like faith, self-control, patience, godliness, and love. Lacking these virtues leads to spiritual short-sightedness and forgetting about being purified from sin. The key is giving diligence to grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus so as to receive an abundant entrance into God's kingdom.
Jesus calls four fishermen, Simon, Andrew, James, and John, to follow him and become "fishers of men". They immediately leave their nets and jobs to follow Jesus. True discipleship requires fully committing one's life to Jesus, giving up everything else. The document explores what it means to follow Jesus as Lord rather than being a casual fan. It emphasizes the importance of surrendering fully to God's call and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in one's heart and life.
This document discusses the concepts of eternity and time. It defines eternity as God's realm of being, not an endless extension of time. God created time and the present world order, but exists outside of time in eternity. For all humans, time exerts an inexorable dominion, but God alone has power over time. The Bible reveals God will one day bring time to an end for the present world order. However, for each individual, a moment comes when time ceases and eternity begins.
Christian meditation involves focusing one's thoughts on God and his word through deliberate contemplation and reflection. It aims to strengthen intimacy with God through obedience to his commands. Unlike other types of meditation which seek to empty the mind, Christian meditation involves filling the mind with God's truths from scripture in order to know and obey God. Regular meditation transforms believers to become more like Christ through renewal of the mind and heart as they draw nearer to God, gaining wisdom, joy and guidance.
This document discusses religious lies about prosperity and God's blessing. It asserts that living a life of obedience to God will result in prosperity, as promised in the Bible. However, it warns that prosperity alone does not equate to blessing - one must continue seeking God (the Blesser) and not just the blessings. The story of King Uzziah is discussed, showing that his prosperity did not destroy him, but rather his own arrogance when he stopped seeking God. The document encourages continuing to prioritize one's relationship with God above all blessings.
The document discusses the importance of applying biblical discernment when choosing a church. It says the key issues that should drive our choice are matters of doctrine regarding God, the Bible, and the gospel. It provides biblical support for the doctrine of God as one in three persons. It emphasizes that the Bible is the infallible rule of faith and outlines what the gospel teaches based on passages from 1 Corinthians - that Christ died for our sins and was resurrected. It stresses the centrality of the cross and gospel in the Christian life.

PRAYER FOR THE SICK AND HEALTH REFORM [Autosaved].pptxcaleb254126
The document summarizes key points from a seminar on health and the importance of educating people about health reform. It discusses that true reform begins with heart reform, and that violating health laws is a sin as it violates God's moral law. Medical missionary work is important for sharing physical and spiritual healing, and will become the primary work of ministers.
Anchored Ministry is a program that provides mentoring for junior high girls ages 12-13. It aims to provide a firm, secure foundation for the girls and help them through challenges they may be facing. The program is designed to take place on Sundays to fit with family schedules. It will teach theological foundations like the gospel, identity in Christ, and spiritual gifts. The goal is to help the girls learn about who God says they are, build them up, and equip them to mentor and evangelize their peers.
The first teaching in the series "Growing Deep in the Gospel". In this teaching we answer the question "Why is the Gospel Important?" by looking at Romans 1:16, several other Bible verses and quotes from pastors and Christian authors. Then in light of the importance of the gospel we look at what we should do with the gospel.
Presentationon Evangelical SoteriologyKyle Roberts
This document summarizes key aspects of evangelical Christian theology related to salvation. It discusses what happened in the Garden of Eden according to Genesis, noting different views on how human nature was affected by the Fall. It also examines several theories of atonement to explain what happened at the cross. The document acknowledges challenges to traditional evangelical views, such as penal substitution, and calls for reconstructing these views in light of broader theological considerations and voices that evangelicals should hear.
The document outlines an evangelism workshop with the following goals: ensuring participants understand evangelism and the gospel; know how to clearly explain the gospel and engage people in a respectful manner; and know how to use available means and respond to objections. It covers contextualizing evangelism biblically by defining key terms; examining biblical teachings and motivations for evangelism; understanding the roles of God, man, and the Holy Spirit in salvation; and focusing on diplomatically defending and promoting the gospel. The workshop aims to equip Christians to confidently yet graciously share the essential facts of the gospel.
The document discusses why the gospel is important. It provides three key reasons:
1) The gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). It is the only thing that can rescue people from sin and death.
2) The gospel was the central focus of Jesus and Paul's lives and ministries. They devoted themselves to preaching the gospel.
3) The gospel serves as the foundation for the Christian life. It impacts how believers live and provides strength during trials. Living according to the gospel ensures one's spiritual house will withstand storms.
09/08/2015 - Rolling Hills Community Church, Lago Vista Texas. Men't Bible Study. Introduction Part 1 to The Story. Overview of the Bible and How to Study. Presented by Chris Reighley
This document provides guidance on using promises from the Bible to strengthen one's faith. It introduces 31 carefully selected promises, one for each day of the month, from the book of Deuteronomy, Joshua, Chronicles, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The promises cover themes of life, protection, hope, blessings, forgiveness, healing, abundance and everlasting life. Users are encouraged to meditate on each promise daily and commit them to memory over the month to gain strength, peace and assurance from God's word.
Here are the notes from my sermon on July 8, 2018. We looked at why we should make Jesus known and how we can do that. In the last part of the sermon, I focused on how we can share our testimony.
1. The document discusses the basic gospel message of sin, Jesus' sacrifice, and salvation through repentance and faith.
2. It provides guidance on sharing one's testimony, including why it's important and examples from the Bible. Common barriers to sharing are also addressed.
3. Detailed outlines are given for constructing an effective personal testimony, with sections on life before and after faith in Jesus and how one came to believe. Guidelines emphasize glorifying God and focusing on Jesus.
The document discusses the problem of sin and the need for deliverance. It begins by establishing that the gospel of Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Bible, is the only source of true salvation and victory over sin. It then examines common misunderstandings around the nature of sin, clarifying that sin is not just outward actions but something deeper - it is a condition of the heart. Finally, it emphasizes that God's desire is for complete freedom from sin, not just repeated confession, and outlines how believers must understand both their own role and God's role in the process of overcoming sin.
This document provides a summary of a sermon given on Ephesians 5:15-21. The key points are:
1) The passage instructs Christians to "walk circumspectly" and "not as fools but as wise" by understanding God's will and being "filled with the Spirit."
2) Christians should view difficulties not as obstacles but as opportunities to demonstrate faith and God's grace.
3) Walking "understandingly" means applying biblical wisdom to every situation and acting on faith, not just in religious matters but in all areas of life.
4) Christians are to be "filled with the Spirit" in every situation, living "overflowingly" through God
This document provides answers to 10 common questions asked of Catholics. It summarizes the Catholic views on salvation, worship of the Eucharist, veneration of Mary, confession of sins to priests, use of religious images, prayer for the dead, addressing priests as fathers, obedience to the Pope, and whether Catholic beliefs are found in the Bible. The document emphasizes that Catholic beliefs are grounded in both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, and that Catholics should always discuss these topics with charity, concern, and willingness to admit what they do not know.

“And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you,
who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be
forward a year ago” (2 Corinthians 8:10).
As we saw in the previous lesson, it is very important for every child of God to
understand that he is needed to fulfill the ministry requirements of the Church. It
is important for each Christian to recognize his own importance. On the other
hand, it is also important for each Christian to recognize that the job is much
bigger than the individual. Each of us is just a tiny part in our God’s great master
plan of redemption. The corporate Church is charged with taking the gospel to
all the world (Matthew 24:14) and the needs of that mission must supersede all
our personal needs or desires. Every thing we do, every decision we make, must
take into account that greater mission—the great commission (Matthew 28:19–
20).

I. Check Your Equipment
God has a battle plan to wrest this earth away from Satan and bring it back
under His complete jurisdiction. You have become a soldier in His army.
These discipleship lessons have been an important part of your training and
you are now ready to enter the battle. But first you must check your equip-
ment. The Lord has provided the following checklist for your protection.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For
we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate
of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation
of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith,
wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of
the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplica-
tion for all saints” (Ephesians 6:10–18).
If you study the passage above, you will notice that there is a protective
device for every part of your body except for your back. Take special note of
the last verse. The protective device from your knees to your ankles is
obviously prayer. Also, you dare not run away from the battle because your
back is then exposed. You should also notice that you have only one offensive
weapon, the Word of God. You need to be very familiar with your Bible and
to memorize many helpful verses.
Now ask yourself the following questions:
3. Onward Christian Soldier • 3
A. Who or what is the enemy?
Verse 12 tells us that people are never our enemy. Sometimes it seems
like a particular person is causing us a problem in our walk with God.
However, this verse assures us that person is only a tool used against us
in the greater spiritual battle. The enemies are in the spiritual realm of
the “rulers of the [spiritual] darkness of this world.”
B. Are my loins girt about with truth?
You must know the truth regarding spiritual issues. You must know
correct doctrine (Jude 3). Also, you cannot compromise yourself by
being less than truthful in your dealings with others. You must be willing
to be painfully honest. You must tell the truth even when it will hurt you
physically. The truth provides spiritual protection against greater hurt.
John 8:32
C. Am I wearing the breastplate of righteousness?
Your life must be clean from sin. If you are still living in some open sin,
you have no witness of the goodness and grace of God in your life. You
are defenseless in the spiritual warfare. Examine your life and if you find
sin in it, purge that sin out of your life.
2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 Corinthians 11:28; 1 Corinthians 5:7
D. Are my feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace?
You need to be prepared to present the gospel every time you get an
opportunity. The first nine memory verses that you received with these
lessons are adequate preparation. If you have not faithfully memorized
them, you should begin immediately to do that. This way, you will know
exactly where to turn in your Bible to show someone else the way of
salvation. Also, you will be able to lead someone to Christ whether you
have a Bible with you or not.
James 5:20; 1 Peter 3:15; Jude 22–23
4. 4 • Lesson Eighteen
E. Do I have the shield of faith?
We saw in lesson 14 that we need not be intimidated by the philosophies
of this world. Because the world generally believes a thing doesn’t make
it the truth. However, we can believe everything that our Bible tells us
about life and living. This complete confidence in the words of God is our
shield of faith. We must not let the arguments of the world, no matter how
cleverly phrased, lead us away from the truths found in the Word of God.
Romans 15:13; 1 Timothy 1:19; 6:20–21; 2 Timothy 2:18
F. Do I have the helmet of salvation?
It is important to understand that a person can believe he or she is saved
without actually being saved. You can accept the concept of salvation
without accepting the Savior. If you cannot recall a time or a place or a
particular set of circumstances when you repented of your sins and asked
God for salvation, you probably are not yet saved. When you were saved
you became a new creature in Christ Jesus. Can your life be divided into
two distinct segments of lost and saved? If you have not yet received Jesus
Christ as your Savior you are headed for eternity in hell. You must take
care of this situation immediately. If you need help in this area, refer back
to lesson one or to a Little Red book tract or write and ask this ministry
for help.
2 Corinthians 13:5
G. Am I skilled in using the sword of the Spirit?
As we noted, your only offensive weapon is the sword of the Spirit which
is the Word of God. You need to become very familiar with its usage. You
should read it from cover to cover, again and again for the rest of your
life. It takes only 30–45 minutes a day to read your Bible through once a
year. You should memorize all the names of the books of the Bible in
their proper order. You should ask the Holy Ghost to guide you into all
truth whenever you read your Bible. All of these other devices mentioned
will keep you safe, but becoming skilled with the sword of the Spirit will
make you strong.
Hebrews 5:12–14

H. Do I pray always?
You should try to always be in an attitude of prayer. Always keep that line
of communication with God open. You can whisper a prayer for help in
every decision you make every day of your life. You must also set aside a
time every day specifically for prayer and nothing else. This will help you
to put on all the armor mentioned in this lesson most effectively.
II. Understand the Battle Plan
There have been different battle plans for different ages but the battle plan
for the Church Age has been clearly spelled out in the New Testament. Our
Lord gave a set of final instructions to His disciples, and by association to His
church, before He ascended. They are neatly summarized in the following
passages.
“And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it
behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the
third day: And that repentance and remission of sins
should be preached in his name among all nations,
beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these
things” (Luke 24:46–48).
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I
have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even
unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:19–20).
We can glean several important principles from these instructions.
6. 6 • Lesson Eighteen
A. Be witnesses unto Him
These verses show that we are to proclaim the doctrines of repentance
and remission of sins to the whole world. The biblical examples show
that this was done at three levels.
1. Person to person
We all should be ready, willing, and able to proclaim the gospel to
those we come in contact with on a daily basis.
2. Through the normal function of the local church
A church may do many good things for social improvement, or for
moral improvement, or whatever need it may see. But the first
priority, the primary emphasis must be evangelical. The number one
purpose of the local church is to win others to Christ, primarily
through preaching the gospel as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:21, “it
pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that
believe.”
3. Through mass evangelism
The book of Acts gives a number of examples where many came to a
saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through preaching to large gather-
ings of lost people. We hold crusades and public rallies today often
with similar results.
Acts 2:4–41; Acts 13:44–48; Acts 17:18–34
B. Disciple those you have won to Christ
Leading people to the Lord and then abandoning them is like throwing
someone into the lake and assuming they will learn how to swim. It is
your duty according to the verses quoted above to teach them all that our
Lord has commanded us. Too many new Christians have been let down in
this area and it has led to a severe weakening of the Body of Christ. We
must all do our part to stop the bleeding in this area.
7. Onward Christian Soldier • 7
C. Develop leadership
The first two points can be done at the individual level. Developing
leadership, however is a responsibility of the local church. Properly
discipled Christians should be encouraged to move into ministry. As they
continue to grow, God may lead some to move on and start a new work
somewhere else. This is how the Church of God grows most rapidly. You
may never reach this level of leadership, but someone you win and
disciple may. You may become a “grandparent in the Lord” many times
over because you are willing to do what God asks of you.
III.Into the Battle
Now that you are properly equipped and understand the battle plan, you are
ready to enter the battle. There is, however, a final set of warnings you should
give heed to.
A. March in unison
It is very important that you don’t undercut the work of others that have
gone before you or impede their efforts in any way. You will understand
this concept better the first time it happens to you. Many times a Christian
will spend much time witnessing to a lost person and feel that he is
making progress. Then another Christian will come along and tell that
person he has been listening to a lot of false or incorrect doctrine. The
end result is that the lost person loses trust in both of them and rejects
the gospel completely. Don’t you ever be responsible for someone losing
faith in the Word of God!
B. Hold your position
When you finally enter the battle, I guarantee that you will immediately be
opposed by the spiritual forces of darkness that we saw in point I above.
Things will happen that will discourage you. Things will happen that will
make it seem much easier to just give up and forget about it. Don’t give
up! The Lord is allowing Satan to test your spiritual resolve. Look at these
trials as a chance to gain an early spiritual victory. If you will stand up for
your Lord, you will see Him stand up for you (Hebrews 13:5). The more
you overcome these trials, the less you will have to face them (James
4:7).
8. 8 • Lesson Eighteen
C. Hand-to-hand combat
For the most part, you will be involved in hand to hand combat. You will
deal with lost people one-on-one, face-to-face. You have been prepared
through taking these lessons for most of the attacks you will face, but
each individual you deal with may present a slightly different twist on
things. You cannot deal with him in your own strength. Always commit
your efforts to the Lord in prayer before and after you speak to someone
about Him. Remember, He has sent the Comforter to guide you into all
truth.
John 16:13–15; John 14:16–18
D. The occasional bomb
Sometimes you will do everything right and seem to have won a victory
only to see it come to nothing. For example, you may tell someone about
eternal life through Jesus Christ and they will gladly and willingly pray a
prayer of repentance. Shortly after, you may use that person as an
example when witnessing to another person only to have him deny that it
ever happened. People will initially accept the Lord for a variety of
reasons, but it won’t always be accompanied by true repentance.
Sometimes people say the prayer as if it were some kind of magical
incantation for luck or as if it were a way of taking out “fire” insurance.
God doesn’t listen to the words so much as He looks upon the heart of
the individual. He isn’t interested in a pledge of allegiance, He is inter-
ested in loyalty from the heart. One of the functions of biblical disciple-
ship is to flush that type of person out into the open and make him face
the real truth.

E. The essentials of “revival” or fighting with the power of the Holy
Ghost
In order to be a truly effective soldier for the Lord, you must be com-
pletely committed to Him. This is a very rare state and only the best
soldiers live in it. Most Christians try to live just a little bit “in the flesh”
and a lot “in the spirit.” It never makes them a more effective warrior.
Every little area of your life that you withhold from God is a chink in your
armor. Only you can decide what kind of soldier you want to be. Every
Christian has the potential to be the greatest soldier that ever lived. God
doesn’t care how insignificant or untalented you may be. The truth is that
little is much when God is in it. What kind of soldier will you be? You
already have all the power you need.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
“. . . Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the
LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the
Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye
are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19).

IV.And When the Battle’s Over
One day, soon we believe, our Lord will come back and establish His throne
on the Earth. When that happens, all our battles and trials will be over. But
they will NOT be forgotten. Our God is a just God and He will reward each of
us according to our works. These rewards will last for eternity. Did you ever
wonder what those rewards might be?
I wonder . . . what would it feel like to have several crowns to cast at my
Lord’s feet like the 24 elders in Revelation 4.
I wonder . . . how dear will I be to the heart of my Lord. How precious will
be His memories of how I stood for Him through His power when the going
got tough.
I wonder . . . how many people will come up to me now and then as eternity
rolls by and say: “Thank you. Thank you for what you did to bring the gospel
to me. Thank you for showing me the truth.”
I wonder . . .
