Nearly three-quarters of parents are worried that their family's memories stored in different locations will not be accessible in the future. A service called KeepyMe aims to address this by providing a centralized place for families to save and share photos, videos, and stories and invite other family members to access the memories from any device. It allows users to create timelines for each family member, record audio and video explanations of memories, and leave comments to enrich the memories with their voices and perspectives.

- It is a pleasure to be here with you today, and I want to congratulate Evan and all of those who worked hard to make this summit happen.
- Images, video and computer vision has been part of my all professional career- I co-founded PicScout at 2003 - where we became the market leader in image tracking. in 2007 we introduced picapp, where we showed the world how images and ads can work together, in 2008 as a CEO I introduced the ImageIRC which paved the road to make friction-less licensing possible. In 2011, I sold PicScout to Gettyimages and became their VP Business Development.
- This is where my new adventure started, when i moved with my family from Israel to NYC in 2011, and started to imagine how to put everything I know and everything I was about to find out into a new way for families to save and share memories
- Let’s take a step back and review everything we are talking about today More photos - 24/7 photos Wearable Algorithms - Automation More and more storage Here is what the older generation things about taking so many photos. This is Mr. Nentanyahu the prime minister of israel.
- How did we get to this point? Less then 20 years ago, people took 36 photos to save their precious memories
- Parents used to print those photos. The non-blurry ones went into an album. The rest of them were left in the envelope.
- The outcome was true joy. The whole family could easily access their photo albums again and again to re-experience their wonderful memories. But in 2001 when the digital cameras came to the mass market, taking more and more photos became easier and easier, and printing wasn’t necessary.
- And technology didn’t stop there Iphone debuted and then Glass and more and more photos are being taken
- and social media is where everybody sharing all those pictures
- and they storing their hundreds of thousands of photos on the cloud
- But it all came at the expense of this experience - the Human element in memory saving.
- In a recent survey Keepy conducted with Nielsen some interesting results showed up - We are going to release the full survey in the near future, but i will give you a sneak peek today.
- Which is kind of bad news for human kind.
- And they are right, because sitting in on the couch surfing between files on dropbox, instagram facebook and other various storages isn’t the same as looking at a curated photo album
- This is why we re imagine what memories should look like in the future with the technology available today
- What the future is look like? It is combining the Videos, photos, voice and even offline content into one family timeline
- We want to make sure every family member has his own place
- We wanted to keep those memories fresh for ever so recording voice or video story needed to be easy
- We wanted make the experience intimate so only loved one have access to the memories.
- We wanted to capture what grandma has to say about the moment in video voiceover or text
- And most importantly we wanted the memories stay accessible live and fresh for now for later and forever
- I look forward to being a grandpa one day and looking through Keepy with my grandkids. Of course, with the rate that technology is developing we’ll be looking at keepy on the palm of our hands… or in a hologram… or programmed into a chip in our brains, but at least their memories are now curated, stored, enriched and all in one place so they can experience them…
