The Department of First Year Engineering has a 936.2 square foot Digital Language Laboratory facility with the Orell Talk Language Lab software. The lab contains 27 computers, 1 server, 1 UPS, and 50 headphones to allow up to 20 students to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a target language. Modules in the software focus on pronunciation, grammar, phonetics, group discussion, debate, public speaking, interview skills, and soft skills to improve proficiency and familiarize students with the target language culture.
