los Angeles de Porciuncula”
and in 1848 became a part of
the United States.
In 1892 oil was discovered
in Los Angeles and started
the booming oil industry.

In the 1920s L.A became
know for the two
industries more important
in America’s: motion
pictures and aricraft.
Motion picture producters
moved to L.A because of
the weather and beautiful
filming locations.
Hollywood became the
center for movie
production.
