According to Local Law 52, any worker using or erecting supported scaffolds must complete safety certification courses, which are valid for only 4 years. Many scaffolding certifications will expire this year, so workers with expired certifications will need to retake user or refresher courses to remain compliant. The Training School for Construction Trades Association (TSCTA) offers upcoming certification and refresher courses in day and night formats to help workers renew their credentials before working on job sites without valid certification.
