Stanley Kubrick was a renowned American film director known for his meticulous research and perfectionism. He was drawn to adapting original literary works and studied source material extensively before production. Despite making relatively few films, Kubrick worked in various genres and his films have had a lasting impact on audiences and filmmakers. The UWM Libraries holds many of the original novels and scripts that inspired Kubrick's films, as well as other works related to their production, supporting the continued study of his body of work.
