A man wanted for a string of burglaries in York County was arrested in Greenville, South Carolina after attempting to sell stolen video games. Douglas Scott Hefner was found with $60,000 worth of stolen goods. He is being held along with two other men, Shawn Douglas Hefner and Thomas Dustin Barr, who were previously arrested. A fourth suspect, Angela Lynn Barr, was also arrested and released on bond in connection with the investigation.
A 19-year-old man shot during a confrontation with a CMPD officer has been released from the hospital into police custody. Malcolm Springs shot Officer B. Harrison in the leg during a shooting incident and is now being held on charges including attempted

Authorities have arrested a man wanted on outstanding arrest warrants in connection to
string of burglaries in York County.
Douglas Scott Hefner was arrested Wednesday in Greenville, South Carolina. When
Hefner was attempting to sell video games stolen from a Greenville Game Stop. During
the arrest $60,000 in stolen goods was recovered.
Police have been looking for Hefner since arresting Shawn Douglas Hefner and Thomas
Dustin Barr in early March on charges of breaking and entering, larceny and
safecracking.
Authorities are arrested a forth suspect, Angela Lynn Barr on March 17th in connection to
the investigation of Douglas Hefner, Shawn Hefner and Thomas Barr. Angela Barr was
released on bond.
Investigators expect to file additional charges against Douglas Hefner. Hefner is currently
being held in the York County Detention Center.

The suspect in Sunday mornings shooting involving a CMPD officer has been released
from the hospital.
Malcolm Springs, 19 was released from Carolinas Medical Center into the custody of the
Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Springs was shot in the stomach after shooting
Officer B. Harrison in the leg during a shooting on Garibaldi Avenue.
CMPD is conducting a internal investigation into the incident and has reassigned Officer
Harrison.
Authorities wants to talk to anyone who has information on the robbery in the 1400 block
of West Trade Street that happened Sunday around 1 am and the shooting on Garibaldi
Avenue.
Springs is being held on multiple charges including attempted murder and assault with
firearm on a law enforcement officer.
