Knox FDC Plug Training What is a Knox FDC Plug? An optional FDC cap that prevents tampering and access from the general public. Accessible using a Knox Keywrench. Provides peace of mind to the business owner and fire department, knowing the FDC has not been tampered with or plugged with garbage.

Knox FDC Plug Training How does it operate? Knox Plug is inserted into the FDC Insert the Keywrench into the star keyhole and turn the wrench 2 or 3 turns clockwise This causes the threads to widen and hold the FDC plug in place
Knox FDC Plug Training Can be removed from the FDC in one of two ways: Insert the Keywrench into the star keyhole and turn the wrench 2 or 3 turns counter-clockwise.  This shrinks the threads allowing the plug to be removed. As an alternative, the keywrench can be reversed and using the studs on the plug, it can be physically unscrewed.  See the picture on the next page for an example.
