After a successful takeover in Malaysia, KMWE Precision Systems and Components in
Eindhoven, one of the most reputable Dutch suppliers in the Aerospace and Defence industry,
has decided to join forces with Coskonuz Savunma va Havacilik AS, one of the top 3 leading
manufacturing organisations in the Automotive and Aerospace Industry in Turkey. The new
organisation will continue its operations in Eskisehir, where Coskonuz already has an
established company for the Aerospace industry.

KMWE gets into a 50/50 Joint Venture with “Coskunoz Savunma va Havacilik AS”, which is
part of the “Coskunoz Holding Company”. Though this Joint Venture the company is able to
provide high-quality, value added solutions to the Turkish and international aerospace
customers as well for the defence industry for both local governments.

Edward Voncken, CEO of KMWE International B.V. and member of the newly established
board of the Joint Venture states that he is very excited about this venture and that this
establishment is in line with the growth plan in the Aerospace and Defence Industry of
KMWE. Mr Voncken explains: Turkey’s offset requirements and growing, both national and
international demand, makes Turkey one of the most advantageous areas to invest in”. He
continues: “ Also the quality of labour and the working conditions in Turkey contribute to a
successful investment in this country. The new organisation will lead to new opportunities to

KMWE, founded in 1953, has gained a leading position as a qualified supplier in the
Aerospace and Defence market by manufacturing highly integrated complex parts to the
world’s most leading programs such as Airbus A380 and Boeing B787. KMWE, headquartered
in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and a site in Penang, Malaysia offers total solutions of
engineering, prototyping, machining, assembly and testing for the medical, diagnostic and
semiconductor market along with the Aerospace and Defence industry. The organisation is
specialized in the “High mix, low volume” market and is characterised by its highly
automated, process controlled production- and assembly process. After the crisis year KMWE
is resuming its growth with a turnover increase of more than 50% compared to 2009.

Coskunoz, founded in 1951, is al leading power house with over 2000 employees. Coskunoz
Holding company with headquarter located in Bursa has 3 foreign partners in its 3 companies
with successful Joint Ventures. Originally Coskunoz was most active in the automotive
industry. In 2006, because of the JFS activities, Coskunoz made the decision to enter into
Aviation and Defence and formed a new production facility “Coskunoz Savunma Havacilik”.
This site is located in Eskisehir and produces airplane and helicopter body and –structural
parts in its 7000 sq.mt. closed facility.
