This document discusses the relationship between science and religion. It describes how a bishop named John Ussher calculated in the 1650s that Earth was created in 4004 BC based on biblical genealogies. However, scientists now say based on DNA evidence that Earth is around 16 million years old. Some argue that the Bible is just a collection of stories and cannot prove anything factually, while others say it contains deeper, important messages beyond taking every detail literally. The document explores tensions between literal biblical interpretations and scientific perspectives on the age of Earth.
