This document outlines three types of speeches: informative speeches which provide information about objects, events, concepts, or processes; persuasive speeches which aim to convince the audience on questions of fact, value, or policy; and special occasion speeches which must fit the occasion, meet the time allotment, and ensure accurate intended remarks.
