For this week I've got something a little different – Using a few photos taken throughout the year in
our meetings I'm going to present to you BNI Cookson's 7 Tips to survive Christmas.
1.
Treat the one you love.
Be it a bottle of their favourite tipple, fine fragrance, chocolates or just a great referral so make sure
you show your power team how much you appreciate them this Christmas and remember DNA
homes the building blocks to a good bromance.
2.
Keep Granddad Happy
We all know Granddad loves Christmas, Nothing makes him happier than the traditions of gathering
round the table and spinning stories of Christmas during the war. Make sure you keep him happy
maybe a game of trivial pursuit or putting together the kids toys or just listening to his ramblings
about investments.
3.
Try not to put your foot in it
It's very easy after one or two sherrys to relax too much and say something you regret. Especially in
a darkened room. Keep your health and safety hat on and remember what Dave Clough says if you
see me I'll help you keep on the right side of your family.
4.
Wrap up warm
We all know the cold weather can deadly at this time of year. But make sure you where the right
clothes to suit you wouldn't want to attract the wrong kind of attention. Which nicely moves me
onto our next tip
5.
Be careful who you go home with
BNI Cookson night outs can be a dangerous affair especially at Christmas. An extra couple of
muled wines can make you look at your fellow members in a whole new light. So avoid the 'spark'
of attraction and listen to your fellow chapter members warning MME the best tranny, be careful
you don't go home with me.
6.
Get your grove on
No Christmas party is complete without a good old fashioned knees up and we haven't been short of
John Travolta's this year. Always remember there are two things certain in life, taxes and Andy Potts
doing the thank you for the money box.
And finally before we go
7.
Stay away from scary uncle Billy
Merry Christmas to all of you and we'll see you in 2014
