Kbnf Walk for the Bu Brochure
The Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation is hosting the 'Walk for the BU' event on October 3rd in Surrey, BC, aimed at raising funds and awareness for medical support in West Africa, particularly in Ghana. Registration runs from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a walk at 11:00 AM and a BBQ lunch. Participants can register individually for $10 or as a family for $25, with tax receipts available for donations over $25.

One of the few charities focused on providing immediate and lifesaving medical support, with a longterm infrastructure vision. Prepared the master plans and programs for the development of contemporary North American standard hospitals and medical teaching sites at leading centres in Ghana. Established a neuroscience research department under the auspices of the Department of Anatomy, University of Ghana. Established and supervises Korle-Bu Neuroscience Clubs at leading North American Universities. Ships containers of quality, urgently needed medical equipment and supplies to Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria. Facilitates and conducts multi-national medical and teaching missions to Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria with members from the USA, Canada, Nigeria and Ghana. Provides critical care & medical training to local medical professionals in Ghana & West Africa. Conducts Heart Power! motivational workshops for its members and medical registrants at overseas medical conferences. KBNF’s vision is to alleviate the suffering of Ghanaians and West Africans affected by injuries and diseases of the brain & spine. Every step taken and pledge received will help raise much needed funds and heighten awareness of our projects, medical missions and educational services provided to West Africans. In consideration of being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby expressly assume all risks, including personal injury and death, arising in any way out of my participation in the Walk for the ‘Bu’ or any related activities. I agree, for my self, my heirs, executors and administrators, to not sue and to release, indemnify and to hold harmless, Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation and its affiliates, officers, directors, volunteers, and employees and all sponsoring businesses and organizations and their agents and employees from any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of my participation in this event.
