The Gok Turks were the first Turkish empire who used the name "Turk". They originated from Central Asia in the 6th-7th centuries AD and were nomadic pastoralists and skilled metalworkers. The Gok Turks left important cultural legacies, including inscriptions describing their history and rulers. They influenced neighboring cultures through trade and migration while maintaining traditions like felt-making, kaftan clothing, musical instruments like the dombra, and foods like yogurt and ayran. The Gok Turks' syncretic religion called Göktanrı, emphasizing a sky god, helped pave the way for the later acceptance of Islam among Turks.

The number of tractors used for agriculture in Egypt was 103,188 in 2008. Egypt has a developed economy based on farming such as cotton, corn, and sugarcane, as well as industry and services. However, despite economic growth, living conditions for most Egyptians remain poor.
Europe leads machinery imports with $656 billion in 2010, while Asia leads machinery exports with $764 billion that same year. The top five continents for machinery trade are Europe, Asia, America, Africa, and Australia. Asia and Europe compete globally in both exports and imports partially due to Turkey's geographic location between them. Africa is experiencing significant economic growth and development, with its total economy projected to reach $2.6 trillion by 2020.

Icon Group, a company operating in Bursa, Turkey, produced the world's largest asphalt machine. At a ceremony to unveil the machine, Icon Group's chairman Nezir Ganja spoke about the importance of trade fairs like BAUMA, one of the world's largest held every three years in Munich, Germany. Ganja noted the challenges Turkish companies face exhibiting at BAUMA, including obtaining visas and meeting patent rules, but said Icon Group has represented Turkish industry well there since 2004 despite difficulties.
1) As computer hardware for industrial machinery becomes more complex, new methods of controlling machines and manufacturing processes have emerged using technologies like electronics and computers.
2) Numerical control (NC) has significantly impacted machining by allowing machine tools to exceed the capabilities of even the most skilled machinists through precise, automated movements programmed into the machine's computer.
3) Most modern machine tools are computer numerical control (CNC) systems, which provide advantages like continuous, error-free operation over long periods without fatigue compared to human machinists. CNC even makes producing single parts economically feasible.

This document provides guidance on working safely with agricultural machinery. It outlines several factors that can cause machinery accidents, including using improper equipment, failing to follow safe work procedures, and lack of operator training. It identifies many parts of farming machines that are hazardous, such as pick-ups, augers, and power take-off shafts. The document stresses the importance of always following the safe stop process before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages by setting the parking brake, disengaging equipment, stopping the engine and removing the key. Failure to do so has led to many dangerous and fatal accidents.
The Chinese machinery industry was historically dominated by large state-owned enterprises until economic reforms in the late 1970s and 1980s opened the door to private and foreign investment, fueling rapid growth. The machinery sector is sensitive to economic conditions as its customers are industrial firms. From 2001 to 2006, China's machinery expenditures grew by 32% annually as the country invested heavily in expanding industrial capacity. While imported machinery previously dominated the Chinese market, domestic production has been substituted as foreign firms establish local manufacturing, attracted by low costs and China's large market. Foreign direct investment in China's machinery sector reached $4 billion in 2005 and continues to support import substitution and technology transfer.
The machinery sector in Bursa, Turkey is a driving force for the local industry, growing 20% annually since the 1990s. It manufactures a wide variety of high-quality and cost-competitive parts and accessories, with a domestic input rate of 80-85%. Important exports include packaging machines, textile machines, hydraulic scissors, CNC hydraulic presses, and other heavy machinery. The primary metal industry in Bursa consists of manufacturing iron, steel, alloys, tubes, pipes, profiles and other metal products. Leading companies in the sector include BORÇELIK, BAYKAL MAKİNA, COMPONENTA, ERMAKSAN, MAKYAGSAN, K
The electrical machinery sector in Turkey produces a wide range of high-technology products and accounts for 4.3% of Turkey's total exports. It produces all types of electric power generation, transmission, and distribution machinery, including generators, turbines, transformers, circuit breakers, and electric motors. Approximately 5,000 small and medium-sized companies dominate the industry, employing around 56,000 people. Major cities housing electrical machinery production include Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir, Ankara, Kayseri, and Konya. In 2009, Turkey exported $4.4 billion worth of electrical machinery to nearly 200 countries, with Iraq as the top customer. Key export products are electric transformers, domestic appliances, wires and cables
The Turkish Mechanical Industry Platform was founded to develop Turkey's machinery and accessories sector through cooperation between sub-sector organizations. It aims to create policies to strengthen the sector's competitiveness internationally and foster collaboration. After three years, it has grown to include 28 member organizations and overseen many sector activities and projects. Due to its influence and representation of the sector's interests, there is now a proposal to transform the platform into a federation to formally represent the machinery industry.
The Turkish machinery manufacturing industry has grown significantly over the past few decades, becoming an important economic sector. It relies on Turkey's low-cost and skilled workforce as well as high domestic input levels. Exports from the sector have increased substantially, reaching over $9 billion in 2007 and growing by over 30% year-over-year. The top export destinations are Germany, France, the UK, Italy, and Iran. Major product groups manufactured in Turkey include reactors, turbines, pumps, valves, air conditioners, heaters, machine tools, engines, and packaging machines.
MPG attended WIN FAIR-2012 in Istanbul between February 2-5, 2011. The trade show featured 450 companies from the metal working, welding, surface treatment, and materials handling industries across 12 halls. At its information stand in Hall 2, MPG informed visitors about the Turkish machinery sector and its promotion activities, distributing brochures, databases, and promotional materials. Additionally, a purchasing delegation program was held February 1-3, 2012 in Istanbul bringing together 30 representatives from 8 countries to participate in bilateral business discussions with Turkish companies at a hotel.
STT Eurasia Show is a three-day trade fair aiming to provide the Eurasian coatings industry with a platform to display products and services as well as learn about latest developments. ANKIROS is an international trade fair for the foundry, iron, and steel industries that is held every two years in Turkey. The 2012 exhibition was held from September 13-16 at the Tuyap Fair & Congress Center to satisfy Turkey's iron and steel industries' needs for modern production technologies and trade in the global market. The trade fair featured over 786 exhibitors and attracted over 14,058 visitors each day.
MPG led a delegation of Turkish machinery representatives to Northern Rhine-Westphalia to increase exports to Germany. Over four days, they met with regional institutions and discussed steps to boost trade between Turkey and Germany. The historical and cultural ties between the two countries were noted, and it was expressed that Germany could greatly benefit from Turkey's young workforce and mid-level managers. Visa issues for Turkish citizens traveling to Germany were also raised as a problem that causes losses for both economies. Parliament and economic leaders said they would work to make visa practices more accommodating. The delegation stressed that cooperation with Germany is essential for Turkey to achieve its goal of $100 billion in exports by 2023, and 20% of its overall $500 billion
Machinery exports from Turkey to Germany doubled from January to September 2011 compared to the same period in 2010, rising 94.4% to $746.9 million. Exports of mining, construction, food processing, and pumping machinery saw the largest increases. While Germany was the top export destination, Turkey also significantly increased machinery exports to Iran, the UK, Russia, and Iraq during this period. The head of Turkey's Machinery Exporters Union aims to increase machinery exports to Germany to $10 billion in the next 5-6 years.
