Fengjuan Qiu has experience in both computer science and respiratory care. She received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington Bothell with a 3.64 GPA and a B.S. in Respiratory Care from Stony Brook University with a 3.7 GPA. Her skills include Java, C++, algorithms, and databases. She has worked as a respiratory therapist at Kindred Hospital since 2014. For projects, she led a team to build a food delivery website and implemented a Unix-like file system and CPU schedulers for an operating systems course. She also designed databases, object-oriented programs, and software requirements specifications. She is involved in several honor societies.

A full-stack team project to build a website for food delivery
- Lead as product manager to design the product and break into features for the team.
- Act as architect to design the architecture and choose the technologies.

Operating system
- Build a Unix-like file system on the ThreadOS. Users are able to access persistent data on disk by way of
stream-oriented files.
- Synchronization and multithreading: use monitor approach to solve dining philosophers’ problem.
- Implement CPU scheduler with round-robin and multilevel feedback-queue scheduling algorithms.
Database system
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to analyze and design a physical database.
- Use relational algebra and query languages to retrieve and manipulate databases.

- Analyze and design a movie rental store by using Object-oriented programing
