Markets closed today on flat note amid sluggishness. Short covering at
lower levels in index heavy weights has capped the downside. Nifty
closed at 8130.65, down by 4.45 points or 0.05%. On sectoral front,
Realty, Energy, Finance, and Media stocks are the major gainers for the
day. Whereas Metals, Auto, PSU banks, Pharma, FMCG stocks were the
major losers. On stock specific front, BPCL, RELIANCE, BOSCHLTD,
TECHM and WIPRO were the top gainers of the day, while NMDC, PNB,
TATASTEEL, LUPIN and VEDL were the top losing stocks of the day.
Advance and Decline ratio of the Nifty was 24:26.
On the global front, Asian markets closed mostly in green taking cues
from US markets overnight. Chinese markets traded with extreme
volatility with news on tightening of rules of margin financing by brokers.
While writing this, European markets are trading in red as bond yields
spike.
Nifty has immediate support around 8050-8060 levels and next support is
at 7990-8000, immediate resistance around 8160-8170 and next
resistance is at 8240-8250.

News Onboard
PFS raised around Rs.213.5 crore via NCDs:
PFS has raised Rs.213.5 crore through issuance of non-convertible
debentures which are redeemable over a period of 10 years. The
NCDs will augment the long term resources of the company and will
help in lowering the cost of funds.
Suzlon rises on winning order from ReNew Power:
Suzlon Group has won an order for 90.30 MW turnkey project from its
existing customer, ReNew Power. Suzlon will install its S97 90m WTGs
with rated capacity of 2.1MW at Ellutla site Ananthpur district, Andhra
Pradesh.
Aditya Birla Nuvo enters into JV agreement with MMI Holdings:
Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd has entered into definitive joint venture
agreements with MMI Holdings Ltd., to enter into the health insurance
and wellness business in India. As per the agreements, ABNL will hold
51% share in the joint venture company named Aditya Birla Health
Insurance Co., subject to the regulatory approvals.

Buzzing Stocks
Eicher Motors dipped by 7% after reports suggest that
Volvo sold the remaining 3.7% stake in Eicher Motors for
$278 million. Volvo has offered approximately 1 million
shares in a price band of Rs 17,190-18,190 in an open
market sale.
Adani Ports soared by 6% after RBI allowed foreign
investors to invest up to 40% of the paid-up capital in the
company.
Bank of India falls by 5% after S&P affirmed the rating of the
bank to ‘BBB-/A-3’. The rating agency expects Bank of
India’s asset quality to remain under pressure over the next
12 months, and has therefore, lowered the bank’s SACP to
‘bb+’ from ‘bbb-’.
Tata Steel slumped by 4% after UK trade union voted in
favor of a strike against the company over a pension
scheme.
