EXT. A DARK STREET ON A DOWNTOWN STRIP - NIGHT
An old run-down building reads: "PAJOS PLACE."
2 INT. SMALL GRUBBY PUB - NIGHT 2
FIRST DRAMATIC BLOCK
ALAN middle aged man wearing dress pants a shirt and a tie,
sits at a bar alone drinking Jack on the rocks. The
bartender stands opposite to him on the other side of the
counter. Both are silent.
Alan swirls his glass while he stares blankly at the
tattered and stained bar top.
DRAGON, a lanky, short and pale middle aged bearded man
enters the bar and sits beside Alan.
Dragon wiggles his bar stool closer to Alan's as he throws
his hand up towards the bartender.
DRAGON
I'll have a Wiser shooter my man,
actually make it two...one for my
new friend. What do they call ya
buddy.
Dragon holds out his dirty trembling hand.
Alan looks up at Dragon who's bony arms are covered in
tattoos and needle punctures. He hesitates but shakes
Dragon's hand.
ALAN
Alan, thanks for the drink.
DRAGON
Don't mention it brother. Name's
Dragon. Well that's what the boys
call me anyways... if you asked my
mother it would be Dwayne. HA HA
Dragon hits Alan on the back and laughs hysterically at his
own joke.
Alan chokes slightly on his drink when Dragon hits his back.
He coughs, wipes his mouth and looks at Dragon with an
annoyed look an his face.
ALAN

3. Dragon huh. Sounds tough.
DRAGON
Gotta be tough when you're playing
in the concrete cage. Dwayne ain't
gonna cut it, you know what I'm
sayin'?
ALAN
Concrete cage? I'm guessing jail?
DRAGON
You got it buck-o. Just got out
after five years, so that means I'm
in celebration mode mother fucker ha
ha... you know what I mean brother?
Alana nods.
ALAN
What were you in for?
3 SECOND DRAMATIC BLOCK 3
Dragon leaps out of his bar stool and begins to bounce up
and down as if he is about to get into a fight.
DRAGON
Me and the boys start getting rowdy
one night at the club. This big
goon, 6"5 at least walks over, puts
his hand on my shoulder and tells me
I need to leave.
Dragon raises his left eyebrow to the point where it looks
like it is going to fly off his head.
DRAGON
So I decide to bring the guy down
to my size.
FLASH TO WHITE
4 FLASHBACK - BAR FIGHT 4
Dragon punches a 6"5 man in the stomach two times. The man
falls to his knees, spitting his gum across the room.
FLASH TO WHITE
BACK TO PRESENT DAY
DRAGON
Then I crack the guy three elbows to

4. the face. BOOM BOOM BOOM
Dragon violently smashes his elbow against his hand three
times.
FLASH OF WHITE
FLASHBACK - BAR FIGHT
The 6'5 man's eyes begin to shut as he falls backwards. His
front tooth is missing, his nose is gushing blood.
DRAGON (V.O)
After that it was hit the road jack
and don't you come back. I said
"have at him boys" and headed for
the door.
FLASH OF WHITE
BACK TO PRESENT DAY
Dragon abruptly switches from laughter to serious mode.
DRAGON
Well I look on the ground and what
the fuck do I see?
FLASHBACK - BAR FIGHT
Dragon begins to walk but stops when he sees something
shining on the ground, he bends closer and notices it is a
cop badge.
BACK TO PRESENT DAY
DRAGON
The guy I had just busted up was a
fuckin cop, pigs, man, pigs!
DRAGON Alan finishes his drink and wipes his mouth again. He
then takes a moment before he responds to Dragon's story.
ALAN
Rough shit, man.
Dragon sits in the bar stool again he shakes his head as he
shoots his glass of whiskey.
DRAGON
Sneaky fucks got me. All good though
brother. I know every maggot in that
bitch so I ran that mother fucker.

5. Dragon leans towards Alan and begins to speak in a very low
voice. He once again becomes very serious.
DRAGON
Wanna hear about some shit that went
down while I was in?
Alan gazes at Dragon for a moment.
Dragon looks deeply into Alan's eyes as he waits desperately
for an answer.
Alan nods.
Dragon looks over both of his shoulders making sure no one
is listening. He then waves his right hand towards Alan
signaling for him to move in closer.
Alan leans closer to Dragon. He keeps his head pointed
towards his drink, not paying much attention to Dragon.
DRAGON
One day I notice that some of my
"stash" goes missing. Later I find
out this sleazy little prick named
Ricky Jackson had been sneaking in
my cell during lunch and taking
shit.
5 BEGINNING OF THIRD DRAMATIC BLOCK 5
For the first time in the conversation Alan lifts his head
up in interest towards Dragon.
ALAN
What did you do to him?
DRAGON
One day Ricky boy woke up to old me
and my boy Steve all cuddled up in
his cell with him. Lets just say
Ricky won't able to walk for a good
while...maybe because Steve got
lonely and needed a butt buddy...but
probably because I shattered both
his knee caps. HA HA HA HA
Alan lightly laughs in a low husky tone shaking his head. He
then takes money out of his pocket and puts it on the bar in
front of Dragon.
Alan stands up with a huge smile on his face and puts his
hand on Dragon's shoulder.

6. ALAN
Next drinks on me...karma's a bitch,
eh buddy?
With a dumbfounded look on his face Dragon lets out a
confused laugh as Alan begins to turn and walk away.
Dragon then throws his hand in the air towards Alan.
DRAGON
Thanks brother...karma is the bitch
of all mothers.
6 BEGINNING OF FOURTH DRAMATIC BLOCK 6
Dragon faces the bar again still laughing with confusion. He
signals for the bartender to bring another drink.
DRAGON
My lucky day huh ha ha, free man and
free drinks, fuckin right!
The bartender pours a shot of whiskey and slides it to
Dragon.
BARTENDER
You must be pretty special, haven't
heard him speak a word since the
accident.
DRAGON
Accident?
The bartender begins to wipe down the bar top.
BARTENDER
Almost a year ago now his wife and
three daughters were killed in a hit
and run, some idiot drinking and
driving.
DRAGON
Poor fucker. What was the pricks
name?
The bartender stops wiping the bar top and throws rag over
his shoulder, he locks eyes with Dragon.
BARTENDER
Ricky Jackson.
Dragon laughs slightly and hits his hand on the bar, he then
shoots his glass of whiskey.
