Karaikurchi Arunachalam was a renowned Carnatic musician from Tamil Nadu who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was a disciple of the legendary musician Maha Vaidyanatha Iyer and was known for his mastery of the violin as well as his soulful renditions of kritis. Arunachalam toured extensively and performed regularly at major music conferences, establishing himself as one of the preeminent violinists of his time in the Carnatic tradition.
