This document provides guidelines for successfully weaning pigs without the use of antibiotics for growth promotion (AGP). It recommends weaning pigs no earlier than 6.5 kg and 28 days, housing weaners and finishers with proper temperature and ventilation control, restricting feeding for weaners, using all-in/all-out batch production, and daily health checks. It also stresses the importance of hygiene, separating sick pigs, using probiotics and acids, and working closely with a veterinarian for health management and antibiotic oversight.
