Pagare had ambitions to become the Sports Secretary of IIM B from the start. He analyzed that to get the role, he needed to be good at sports, get maximum media coverage ("footage"), and be popular with girls. Although mediocre in sports skills himself, he focused on getting footage and attracting girls. This earned him some popularity but ultimately failed to get him the role in his first year. In his second year, he took these pursuits to new heights, organizing many trips and events focused on attracting girls. However, there were no pictures found of him actually playing or participating in sports.
