This document is a rant by the pastor of Cornerstone Fellowship about the changes that have occurred in the community of Mill Run over the past 50 years. It describes how Mill Run used to be like the town of Mayberry from the Andy Griffith show, with dozens of kids attending church every week. However, over time the church has become an afterthought for most residents as a culture of freedom and doing what feels good has replaced the traditional Christian values of the past. The pastor argues that the church needs to address its negative public perception and show more grace and truth in order to attract people back.

This sermon discusses judging others based on Matthew 7:13-20. It notes there are two routes to eternity - the wide path that leads to destruction, and the narrow path that leads to life through Jesus. False prophets try to deceive people and lead them astray. A person's salvation can be evaluated based on two questions: 1) Has their faith in Christ cost them anything? and 2) Did their decision for Christ change them? The sermon uses the illustration of trees bearing fruit to represent how a true believer will produce good works, while a false prophet only produces false righteousness.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
