Jump Athletic is launching an elite U16 club and travel basketball team to provide high-level competition and exposure to college coaches. The team will play in tournaments throughout Arizona, California, Virginia, and Nevada from April to July. Coach Dan Wintering will lead the team and help players improve their skills and get noticed by colleges, as the team's website will feature player information and videos.

About Coach Wintering
Dan Wintering’s career in basketball first began almost 15 years ago at St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix where
he played on the Boys Varsity basketball team. He went on to play basketball at the Franciscan University of
Steubenville in Ohio where he was named team captain and started for three years as point guard. In 2003,
Dan was on the coaching staff at USC where he handled team shooting sessions, individual workouts, assisted
the video-coordinator in scouting breakdowns, and assisted with basketball camps and coaching clinics. He
then took the assistant coach position at Fullerton College, a junior college in Southern California. Six players
from the 2004-05 Fullerton College team went on to earn Division 1 scholarships. He later went on to become
Graduate Assistant Coach at ASU where he spent the 2005-06 season under Head Coach Rob Evans. He then
went on to become Lead Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Central Arizona College for the 2006-07 season. Six players
that he recruited earned scholarships to four-year colleges, and four more players will earn scholarships following the current
2008-09 season. He most recently coached the 2007-08 Boys Basketball Varsity season at St. Mary's High School, with the team
finishing state runner-up.
