ETT was founded in 1993 by Stephen Unwin with the goal of creating outstanding theatre and touring productions to wide audiences. They have had success producing Shakespearean plays like Hamlet, As You Like It, Henry IV Parts One and Two, and King Lear. While ETT generates income from ticket sales and commercializing their work, they rely on support from individuals, trusts, and foundations to fund their core work and future plans, which include more touring, reaching wider audiences, and opportunities for young people.
