James Jhun is a 2016 graduate of Bates College with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies - Health and a minor in Music. He has work experience as a lab intern in Busan, South Korea analyzing water samples and as an undergraduate research assistant at USC investigating the role of MMP9 in osteoclastic differentiation. On campus, he founded and leads the Bates Buddies Club community outreach program and is the treasurer and arranger for the a cappella group The Manic Optimists. He also plays lead trumpet in the Bates College Jazz Band.
