Jessica Kahal is a young swimmer with several achievements under her belt. While studying, she was the member of a Club Swim Team called “San Pedro Peninsula YMCA Swim Team” and Girl's Frosh/Soph and Varsity Water Polo. Jessica participated in a number of competitions, including – 4x50 Medley Relay and 4x50 Freestyle Relay and Diving Championships that were organized in Long Beach, CA. She also swam in the CIF finals for the 50 meter medley team. She received several awards, like – Semper Fidelis Bandsman award from the United States Marine Corps (2003), the Most Valued Player (MVP) award during Frosh/Soph swimming competition (2000), the Most Improved swimmer award in Frosh/Soph Water Polo (1999), and many more.

Jessica Kahal is a young swimmer with
several achievements under her belt. While
studying in Palos Verdes Peninsula High
School, she was the member of a Club
Swim Team called “San Pedro Peninsula
YMCA Swim Team” and Girl's Frosh/Soph
and Varsity Water Polo. During her high
school, she got the opportunity to nurture
her swimming talent under the guidance of
Ms. Juliano, who was the coach of Girl's
Frosh/Soph and Varsity Swimming. While
being a member of Girl's Frosh/Soph and
Varsity Water Polo, Jessica participated in a
number of competitions, including – 4x50
Medley Relay and 4x50 Freestyle Relay and
Diving Championships that were organized
in Long Beach, California. She also swam in
2. the CIF finals for the 50 meter medley
team.
For her excellent swimming skills, Jessica
Kahal received several awards, including
3. – Semper Fidelis Bandsman award from the

she worked as a pool lifeguard at Jack
Kramer Club in Rolling Hills Estate and then
at concessions/box office in Regal Cinemas
The Avenue 13, Rolling Hills Estates.
Apart from swimming, Jessica Kahal has
great interest in music. To showcase her
music talent, she participated in many
musical contests and emerged as a winner
in most of them. While studying in Palos
Verdes Peninsula High School, she was a
member of Advanced Orchestra (2001).
4. She was also fortunate to be a part of
many popular bands and orchestra groups,
like – California State University Long
beach Concert Band (2003), Asian
American Youth Symphony Orchestra
(2002-2003), and many more. Being a part
of popular bands and orchestras gave her
the opportunity to meet and learn from
renowned personalities from the music
world. Some of the personalities that had a
great influence on her music career are –
Mr. Fesmire - the director of Marching
Band/Concert Band; Mr. Marino – the
director of Intermediate and Advanced
Orchestra; David Benoit – the director of
Asian American Youth Symphony; and Mrs.
Maddaford – the Choir and Jazz Choir.
Currently, Jessica Kahal lives in California
with her parents and two brothers, Joshua
& Justin.
